Bill Simmons really doesn’t like the Pelicans organization, I know fans say that about every commentator but it’s weird. He goes on and on how much he like Jordan Hawkins and wished the Celtics could grab. Then he turns around and says Hawkins is in a bad spot in New Orleans. A team ready to compete that desperately needs Hawkins one nba ready skill.

I know he's usually pretty hateful when he talks about Gayle. Not sure if it's a woman hating thing, or her being a woman guides his insults.

I say that to say I've never heard his "the widow" comments about Gayle
That all said... I think he hates the Pelicans b/c he's an old NBA head who thinks all these "new" franchises (i.e. Pelicans, Heat, Hornets) diluted the NBA and make it harder for his beloved Celtics to win it all
He really wants the big markets... esp his Celtics... to have all the talent and win all the championships and the small market teams should be nothing but feeder teams to the big markets

Simmons has been a no-sourced shite-stirring assclown for 20 years. This is nothing new for Boston's Baby Back Beat Boy.
