I think your obsession is funny. Your logic process is funny too. You can read my posts all day and choose not to respond...but you “need” to? No, bro, you want to.
If anyone else is interested in renting the space I own in Shameless’s head, holler at your boy.

Bill Simmons has no business talking about Mrs. Benson. It is none of his fricking business. I’ll kick that punk arse into next week. He is nothing but an a-hole.

but I don't know why any of that would make her unfit to run a franchise?

Im not sure Gayle's goal was to become rightful heiress, but in the end that is what happened.
i don't think calling Gayle a "gold digger" is too harsh, considering everything
however, if Rita was truly wronged, the NFL would have stepped in years ago during the litigation and Gayle would not be allowed to own the Saints. the NBA is kind of a joke about this but the NFL doesn't frick around and I"m sure had their noses all up in that situation
Simmons implies people didn't "look into it" but (1) it was a pretty legit story he just missed it b/c of his bubble and (2) people did "look into it", especially the NFL, and Gayle is in place and not Rita. that says a lot more than pretty much anything else can

well apparently he missed the entire trust litigation so he's clearly a long way away from being "in the know" in this scenario

I don’t think Rita was innocent by any means, to where they had enough stuff on her to make her look shitty.
But even still, she walked away with an undisclosed settlement (think buyout). She was set up for life to just go away. In fact there have been reports she still may have small ownership stakes in both teams.
And if you go through some of the litigation reports, it paints a pretty clear picture of Tom’s vulnerability. Did he lead this charge? Possibly, but probably not

i'm not saying Gayle is an angel. that's why i started out with
i don't think calling Gayle a "gold digger" is too harsh, considering everything
he's just making pretty shitty assumptions about the "takeover" when it was clear that (1) it was a Saints move much more than a Pellies move and (2) pretty much anyone worth a frick in the Saints org were strongly anti-Rita. if he did any sort of actual research he'd have found this out, as opposed to his secret insider research that paints a different picture. that's the problem

Exactly. Simmons has no information on the Pels situation. As I said, his agenda is getting the Pels to Seattle. That’s why he has been consistently shitting on Gayle for no reason.
Simmons does have connections. He mentioned hearing rumors about the Knicks. That makes him a journalist, not a smart basketball guy.
Bill’s mostly known for saying ridiculous shite, and throwing out hypothetical scenarios and fake trades. Yet, some idiot in this discussion keeps putting him in the same category as the smartest basketball people around.
Calling out Goodell and challenging ESPN also doesn’t make him a smart NBA guy. As far as knowing the game goes, he is literally just like any other die hard fan. In fact, any fan that knows a little about analytics is absolutely a step ahead of him.

Well as he inferred about a possibility of a sale, with Verrier on staff, Id imagine some of the Pels FO wasn’t too thrilled about it.
Bottom line is there are factions in any big organization. It’s probable that Simmons got info from an anti-Gayle person.
FWIW, he also stated that Dolan was entertaining offers of selling the Knicks (refuted, as expected).
As I’ve tried to explain, at an yearly convention of power players, all sorts of rumors are flying around.
That doesn’t make him clueless about the NBA landscape.
Bill is a commentator, yes, not a reporter. But he has a lot of pull in the NBA media. With that kind of power, he’s hears things. Doesn’t mean it’s all accurate, but posters are acting like he’s not on the inside, generally speaking. (While knighting for insider MM in other threads)
That’s inaccurate.

Wow so much weight from your one liner when you failed to address anything I said.
There's no weight because you don't explain yourself with your bullshite responses.
I wish I could consider this a compliment since I'm being called sane by a crazy person, but alas here we are.

Simmons gets the current issue with authenication in the sphere of cybersecurity, mainly because of the groundbreaking Colangelo story by a "Sixers fan boy". He understands how information that makes a narrative develops. We've been trying to show you what we see from him and how you can still be skeptical with data from a viable source.
Because people lie, regardless of political affiliation, income level, social status, whatever pandering talking point you want to copy and place in this blank i'm making here. Never believe anything you hear, that's quality reasoning and journalism. Question marks, not light bulbs.
Funny thing about investigating people is that you see they lie. alot. regardless of income or status level.
So again the formula to what most of you are missing and what Thanos is trying to say.
AS Weekend is where new/biggest rumors come out, therefore we list and start following the event(action) trail on said information, document significant events, media follows.
We're just trying to talk about how live NBA events could play out, but you've all fallen for a emotional straw man of crap instead of just reading about what's going on, and noticing the makings of a significant event.
Ebony Maw out.

You speak from an authority that is entirely implied because you say so.
That's immensely dumb. No one shares your perspective, so think about what you want to say, and if you put yourself out on a limb, have the means to defend it.
Don't know how else to say this because there isn't any other way to.
