re: BI posts 2 triple doubles (1st 2 in his career) in 3 games - trade him while he's high?

you just can’t admit when you’re wrong, which you are here. It’s who you are. Everybody here knows it.
Anyone who thinks otherwise is laughably wrong. It is what it is.

quote:that is not the main argument nor is it necessarily correct and it has stunningly zero context. Well not so stunningly considering the source.
The main argument here is Zion is better than BI, he is. And we play better with Zion and no BI, than we do doth BI and no Zion, we do.
Zion is more physically gifted. He’s not actually more skilled at the game of basketball than Brandon.
Handle-Brandon
Passing-push
3 point shooting-Brandon
MidRange Shooting-Brandon
Interior scoring-Zion by a lot, but Brandon is no slouch.
On ball Defense-both are bad, but Brandon is better
Off ball defense- both are bad, but Zion is theoretically a better rim protector and free safety.
Rebounding-Zion but Ingram is no slouch.
The difference in wins, as stated multiple times is there are no power forwards that can play or available to play 75% of the time in their shared tenure together. The Pels losses usually come from a lack of an interior defense, while their 3 point defense is solid.
But the main point of contention is who’s a better investment to build around given their injury histories. The answer unequivocally is Brandon. Brandon’s more skilled game will age better, while Zions physical prowess will decline. Combine that with his glaring durability issues, much more so than Brandon, and the answer to your original posed question that if Zion misses significant time for the FOURTH of Five years than it’s better to move on from him than Brandon, who will always be able to shoot.

The main argument here
The main argument I got in this thread about is your laughably disingenuous argument that BI’s worse record playing with an immensely inferior supporting cast is proof that Zion is better (who played with an immensely better supporting cast). And anyone who says that one is significantly better than the other is flat out wrong. I might take Zion over BI all things being equal, but if you included Zion’s inability to stay healthy I would likely change my mind.

This is a similar litmus test to those think Kobe is better than Lebron, if we're all gonna be honest about this discussion.
Zion is better than BI, and that is why we are much better when Zion plays and BI doesn't compared to when BI plays and Zion doesn't. Not to mention Zion produces more. Not to mention Zion produces more efficiently. No amount of excuse making changes that fact.
More production
Better efficency
More winning
More excuses from your side...

That said, who gets dealt this off-season or into next seasons deadline?
Neither. I love talking trades and roster shake ups, cause its fun. But neither is going to get traded anytime soon.
Hats off to Ingram, he has really brought it the past couple of months. If he had done this the whole season, he'd probably be in line for an all-nba team. He just wasn't anything great the early part of the season..

No, the reason why the Pels record is better is the gaping hole at roster construction. Pels have 5 guys who can play the wings and 3 guys who can play the post when Zion is healthy. So you’re not taking crazy pills, you’re just bad at understanding basketball roster construction.

Shel, we all heard the same ad nauseam argument during the Shaq-Kobe days. It doesn't matter because they are both wearing the same uniform. The crazy thing is, I don't think we're even close to seeing the best versions of Zion or BI.

No, it’s pretty clear that Zion at his best can carry a team against the best teams in the league.
BI is doing special things right now, but Zion’s ceiling is much higher.

You forget one thing. Many more games missed. Deflect from that all you want, but it’s not debatable and it’s a really important factor.

First part I can agree with, the second part is absurd.

Well at least you kept off the “it’s not even close” idiocy this time.
