BI posts 2 triple doubles (1st 2 in his career) in 3 games - trade him while he's high?

I think he would have come close to having another vs GSW if Draymond didn't get in his head.

BI is the reason why we're still a potential play-in/playoff team. Zion and hopefully Jose will be back for the play-in and/or 1st round series.

Should be fun...hopefully. That said, who gets dealt this off-season or into next seasons deadline?

I think you can get a 1st round pick dealing BI, and he provides the best value of any player we have.

At the same time, do we want to mess with the core of this team when we all know it's potential?

Lots of potentially tough decisions to be made after this season, but I'm going to enjoy this run.

Go Pels!

I don't know, that could be asking too much.

Definitely would not trade him. He’s shown improvement in his game year after year. Most teams can’t make the playoffs without their best player. He, Willie and this team may have some flaws but they are building a winning culture. They have New Orleans playing fun, meaningful basketball down the stretch in back to back seasons.

Sure but I wouldn't get terribly excited about back to back seasons of being 10 games below .500 ball without our best player.

But we need to give this core 1 more season at least to figure out if they can play a season together without being ravaged by injuries.

If both BI and Zion are injured again next season, then 1 definitely needs to go, and likely should be BI.

Sorry but I disagree. Who are you going to get for BI? If you get another all star type player they aren’t going to want to be here and if you get draft picks, Grif will frick that all up, and if you get prospects, we can’t develop shite.

Trade for a guy who has embraced the city and played his hardest? Why ruin something that is going well. Will you even find a replacement for him that can boost us like he did? You guys play 2K too much. Especially the “I think we can get a 1st round pick dealing BI.” Have you not seen our first round draft picks lately? Outside of Zion/Murphy.

For better or worse, we live and die with BI/Zion.

Boom or bust.

Healthy with Trey, Herb and Jose, we have six very good players.

Add a legit big and that can move, a bench shooter, and this is a championship caliber team talentwise.

But that's a huge if on the healthy part and I do wonder if Willie will ever be good enough to go head to head with a good NBA coach.

So you want to trade B.I. for a 1st round pick that you would hope at some point would be good enough to be an all-star caliber player. You know... like B.I.

Hey, thanks for your post. I just want to wish you all the best. I know that the LEAP test is a challenge in 5th grade, but I'm confident in your ability to score at least "Basic." You can do it!

It’s frustrating when posters throw players under the bus when things are going bad but then are too insecure to give that same person credit when he’s playing well

Zions down to like 25% of potential games played through his career, and if he gets injured again, you’d rather keep him than the guy who plays a lot more (comparatively)

The better strategy is to accept that building a team around Zion is no longer the best path.

So what's a trade look like? Picks isn't the answer. Team wants to win now.

So what player(s) could we get that would make us a contender?

BI a young star who’s getting better and better, he’s not even at his full value yet. Y’all don’t realize that we’re literally just bad injury luck away from being a dominant championship team

If your 2 best players simply can't get on the court, both of them, 1 of them has to go. Again, I'm not advocating that now, I'm saying if they both have another injury filled year next season.

You might be able to make it work if 1 of your stars is often injured. You have no chance if both are.

Yes because he has more upside.

Problem is, we've learned these past 2 seasons, we can't build it around BI either, even more so than Zion.

Zion doesn't have health, but we learned how good we can be when he is. We've also learned these last 2 seasons we are about a 35 win team, give or take, when BI is our best player. I don't think it's a knock on BI to say he's not a #1 in this league, I'm not sure why anyone would think he can be a #1 for a contending team. We know he can't.

But he can be a #2, I do think he has that ability.

Great question. Who’s available? Bam?he’s more of a defender than offensive hub. Can guard multiple positions. Can’t shoot the three.

Zion goes to a glamour franchise that is known for their conditioning.

They need to go after Naz Reid in the offseason and draft a sharpshooter like Jordan Hawkins assuming he's available at 18-20 range.

And we lock in a team we know will never be a legit title contender.
