After we cut him loose from his regular contract, he must have wanted to go elsewhere rather than come back on a two-way with us.

Should have unloaded Hawkins for nothing and kept Reeves. Cheap contract that can do more than Hawkins already. For a time that is cash strapped, that seemed like a no-brainer move to me.
Reason 47 why they're the worst FO in the league

The offseason just started a few weeks ago. We could still trade Hawk and sign Reeves to a real contract. Reeves signing a 2 way means nothing. He could have signed a 2 way with us and we still could lose him. None of this matters until he's on a roster and if he stays on a 2 way then it should matter less because that means not a single team sees him as worthy of a real contract.
In a normal world we would be applauding the pels for getting rid of unwanted players and looking for upgrades but in the world of emotional children anything the pels do is bad because its the pels.
To put into perspective: If we had the same team from last year excluding the guys that are gone besides reeves, he would be our 12th best player this year. Y'all are pretty much upset we upgraded our team, which is about on par for what you'd expect.

Looking for upgrades isn't useful without making upgrades. Our roster has backslid since the 23-24 season.

Jordan Hawkins could ideally become an elite movement shooter, someone like the peak version of JJ Redick or Duncan Robinson.
Hawk has the ability to get off good-looking shots from crazy angles, but of course, they haven't gone in at a high enough rate. If more shots start going in, and if he improves his defense, then Hawk could be a weapon off the bench for us. He could be a real game changer.
Antonio Reeves is just a guy. He doesn't have any elite skills, and he has no potential to become anything than a decent player.
Now, I'm skeptical about Hawk achieving his potential, because it didn't seem that he actually improved last season, but I'm obviously rooting for him.

Val was never the answer next to Zion and was slow as shite. Nance in reality fricking sucked even tho everyone acted like he was amazing. Naji is naji, would be nice to have him but he's 100% replaceable. Everyone else is literally still on the team, your comment of "we backslid" is ridiculously dramatic. None of those players were even starters and we didn't even have a PG on the team in 23-24 unless you want to count Jose's 2ast a game. Lmfao.

Val = Missi/ Karlo
Nance= Looney
BI= Murray
CJ= Poole
Naji= Peavy
Dyson= Bey
Where is this massive slide? We got younger and maybe even better or slightly worse WHILE being younger with room to improve.
That doesn't include the straight up additions of Fears/ Queen in which we haven't even had such type of players on the roster.
Jose, Herb, and Trey definitely haven't gotten worse since then and that was also Zion's worst statistical season. Even our very worst player Hawk can only get better as he is already at rock bottom.
Y'all are just saying shite to say it.

You're in absolute denial if you think the three above are not a downgrade. Murray has a blown achilles for fricks sake, and he was a talent downgrade from BI to begin with

We went from 49 to 21 wins and you don't think our roster backslid?
The main issue is, we lost a guy in Jonas (for nothing) that averaged 82 games a season (and helped us win many non Z and/or BI games) and replaced him with Theis/Missi.
We also lost Nance who was an elite locker room guy and small ball defensive chess piece and basically replaced him with Karlo.
We lost Naji, who was another great role player that can play on or off ball and helped fill in for Z, BI, Herb, and Trey when they were injured and/or having tough games.
We lost Dyson Daniels (who has always been a better fundamental defender than even Herb Jones, while being 5 years younger). Not only did we lose him, we lost the ability to matchup against the teams with 2-3 offensive juggernauts. Now it's all on Herb avoiding injury and/or foul trouble.
We picked up Murray, who is good in theory, but had horrendous injury luck and always has had weird occasional serious malcontent energy for his entire career.

This is laughable. Dyson would pull more back in a trade than CJ, Bey, and Poole combined….

Do you genuinely still believe this? Does his growth path suggest this?

But they haven't and his defense needs to improve leaps and bounds before he's ready to contribute. Dude is already 23 . Time is running out for him to figure out how to be a replacement level defender.

Val = Missi/Euro guy who won't be in the league after this year
Nance = old man who won't get minutes over Missi or Queen b/c he's undersized and literally has zero offensive basketball skills.

1. Peavy wasn't undrafted... Naji was actually the undrafted one jackass. Great critical thinking, want to reverse that opinion now or double down?
2. I hate to break it to you but Missi averaged the SAME rebounds and 3 less pts than Val when on the team and is already probably better/ faster on defense. I put Karlo there because he can space the floor and shoot just like Val. So yeah the 2 of them combined can do more, are younger, and can give us more production. That is factual, idk what's so funny.
3. Did you seriously say "old man who won't get minutes" talking about Looney while comparing him to Nance? That's fricking hilarious actually.
4. Yeah Dyson/ Bey is the tough comparison and Dyson is an elite defender.. Bey also has a pretty big offensive advantage so that can't just be ignored. Love that y'all are all about 1 sided arguments referencing Dyson's defense now, its poetic almost. Don't forget the comment was the "23-24 pels".
5. Murray/ BI is the only true argument and Murray can still have a bigger impact for what we need. Murray can also improve Trey, Herb, and Z unlike BI could.
And then you still have Fears/ Queen as a bonus along with any growth from Trey/ Herb/ Jose/ Hawk.
