From Marc Stein's latest newsletter

(A newsorthy aside: I’m told it is reasonable to conclude that not earning a starting spot in the West was among the frustration factors that helped convince Davis now is the time to push for his New Orleans exit.)

If that’s the case his goal should be to get traded to a team in the East, no?

Wasn’t he a starter last year? It’s the pels fault he wasn’t a starter this year? Maybe play more games instead of sitting out with your pinkie in a sling.

I remember getting several emails pushing them (and Randle).

I guess he forgot about top 3 MVP voting, 1st team All-NBA, and first team all defense and starting last year in the all star game.

Klutch Sports doing great work as usual.

Supposedly Popovich called the Pels and told them not to cave to the Lakers and trade them there. It’s sounding like other teams in the league are concerned about the situation which is good.

Of course Popovich isn't exactly a disinterested observer: he benefits from AD leaving the West.
Waiting for the summer for Boston is risky.

How risky? If nothing else, it means more certainty in what some other suitors (Knicks, Celtics, etc) bring to the table with regards to picks.

As opposed to taking the current shite sandwich offer from LA.
