can't imagine why he didn't get the job . 4th in the league in %. I mean, 5 guys that shot 38% or better in a Pels uniform last year and a 6th who had his worst year as a pro shooting the ball.

Yea, at one point this was a legit complaint, but this past season changed my mind on that. Q-pon and Gordon were elite from 3 this season and Anderson was while at home (hopefully he can do something about that ateocious road split). Holiday and Cole are also above average 3 point shooters. Those are 5 good options for 3 point shooting that should be back next season, and would be in the regular rotation.

My other concern with Gentry is age

60 ain't that old, even for a coach, in 2015

I'm positive that you deserved it, although I don't remember it. Why don't you post and remind me while I go freshen my drink. It's still early.

I don't even remember what it was about. You apologized the next morning and said you were drunk.

How much would you pay for a 4:30 PM dinner with Gentry at Picadilly?

Don't laugh. Their $5.99 combo plates are boss. They still have those, right?

Well...not to be that guy, but numbers don't lie....although I'm sure he's a good guy

He's a 60 year old career losing coach whose teams don't improve over his tenure.

Regardless of how flashy and fun his offense is to watch, won't really matter if we don't win at a high level. This screams safe bargain bin hire to me.

All of the potential hires had question marks. He's already well on his way to building a fantastic staff by hiring Erman and Pack.

That should quell most questions about the defense by hiring a noted guru like that.

He had some awful teams during his tenure and now he'll have talent.

How exactly is it bargain bin when other teams were considering getting him?

Maybe not, but IIRC there are only 4 Head Coaches that are at least 60. How long can you reasonably expect someone to coach? Pop is 66, but I would think he is more of the exception, than the rule. Like I said, it isn't a huge concern though.
