"its just my time" is the most pussy answer ever to that question.

I actually expected more out of him.

Pelicans franchise put AD in the dog house with the quickness.

I feel bad for him. I wonder if he's telling the truth that it wasn't "intended" to go public. It's obvious he's being used here, I wonder how much in the dark he is. His answer about one reporter called another reporter sounds like some bullshite story Rich Paul told him when AD asked Paul what the hell was going on and how it got out.

I could see AD not knowing it would go public, and his dumbass agent allowing it to go public somewhat behind his back.

I still believe AD is a great guy, and that he means well for the Pelicans, and if he could go do this week all over again, it would be much much much different.

Possible. I don’t think Rich is the smartest, most media savvy guy in the world.

I wouldn't want him to though. The end result of AD leaving would be the same but the pressure for the Pels to change the FO wouldn't be as great and who knows how this going public impacted the Knicks decision to get involved. Maybe they don't dump that salary in a Porzingis trade if it's not known that AD is available. It sucks for AD but I think it helped the Pels.

I think his pops is a bit pissed how Rich Pail handled this. AD does not want to end up like KD with a shite reputation. He thought he would sneak out without getting dirty, but Rich Paul dragged him into the mud for Lebron’s benefit.

You're the problem.

the fact that more fans aren't like him is the problem

writing signs like "we can love you better than Lebron" is the problem

No he didn't. His agency did. He just said he intends to not be with the Pelicans after the 2019 season.
Yeah, ok. What if he pulls a Boogie and tears his achilles? What would we get for him in a trade? By all means, protect him from injury. He is simply a valuable asset right now.

Well he is injured so he isn't playing. But holding back a player in the prime of his career when he's eventually healthy is a bad look for the team and future prospects.
Suns tried this with Eric Bledsoe.

That being said, I'm going to assume his injury will linger for a while.

Dont make a shite, he asks for a trade you sit him until you trade him..

Bledsoe is not AD, you wouldnt get much more for a non-injured Bledsoe as an injured one..

The price for a non-injured AD is 10x the price of an injured one

Watching it, this was my exact response to it emotionally as well. It was uncomfortable in a way that AD came off sympathetic. He seems like a good dude who’s extremely impressionable and got mixed up with a dubious crowd. This whole situation is so contrived and manipulative by the Lebron and Rich Paul camp on so many fronts. I don’t care if AD goes east and wins, but it would be pretty freaking annoying to see Lebron win with AD and rewarded for this shite.

AD says he didn’t give the Pelicans a preference and not even 5 hours later a report comes out he want the Lakers or Knicks. WTF! This dude has to be an idiot. How do you spend 6 years here in NOLA making a good name for yourself only to have it drug through the dirt by another man looking out for himself. Damn AD wake the frick up.

I do too. There is a huge part of me that feels like he’s being taken advantage of by stronger personalities. That AD’s one of those guys that trusted people that have their own agendas and don’t have AD‘s best interest at heart

Seriously looking at his demeanor, I dont think he really wants to leave, hes just being coaxed into it, and now he sees it's too late to go back

I think he was honest with the original "leak"; the "I'm going to decide in the offseason after I evaluate the team and my future".

But Rich Paul knew that means Boston is in play, meaning Lakers can't compete.

Try to push the agenda now? Scares Dell/NOLA to take a shite deal.

Ummm...seeing as he's under contract until the end of the 2019-2020 season, his only options are then trade or be bought out. He's not even willing to honor his contract which is meaning he's wanting to be traded. He's stating to be traded whether you want to play word games is up to you.
