Not really. The Saints weren't ever missing 80% of their starters. The Pels roster is to a point where they can not realistically compete most nights.
Come on man. We were starting third string QBs, our oline was in shambles (played guys from other teams practice squads), starting WRs were gone, linebackers were hurt. Were the Saints really competing? Offensively you can easily say 80% starters on the team were gone. You can spin it any way you want but it’s basically the same thing.
Truth is nola people care more about football and hate DA more. Their interest in pels success is not the same and why they’re more lenient in giving Willie a pass. Reality is DA was a bad coach with an injured roster and Willie also is a bad coach with an injured roster. They both should be fired.

It's really not the same. The only player in football comparable is the Qb but the Saints blew 3 games with their starting Qb.
There's also the fact that the players playing on the Saints seemed to dislike the coach. While most of the players currently playing for the Pels haven't been around long enough to have an opinion.

All three with Carr were extremely close losses. Willie lost games this season with Zion and BI playing. Again there isn’t a difference. And not having an oline or starting WRs is massive in the NFL.

They havent been around long enough to have an opinion? You do realize Zion is in year 6, CJ in his third year, Herb Trey and Jose in their fourth. Are you referring to the 2 way guys? Their opinions honestly dont matter. Just cause nothing has “leaked” from the pels doesn’t mean all the players love Willie.
In regards to DA- Kamara hinted but never openly said anything about DA. Carr praised DA after the win on Sunday and Matheui was sad DA got fired. Not all the players disliked him. Your also comparing 55 players to 15.
I’m not trying to harp on you but its typical of how there are just higher expectations regarding the Saints than there are of the Pelicans. To me this is a perfect example of it.

Trey's the only one of them playing right now. Firing Willie to motivate the dudes still hurt to win the next game doesn't fix anything.

Kamara has been complaining about the lack of accountability from the coaching for like 3 seasons now.

I don't disagree with that but I'm clear headed enough to realize if we're having to play BJ Boston, Javonte Green, Jaylen Nowell, JRE, Trey Jemison, and Jamal Cain 20 minutes in a game we are probably fricked.

I agree there but watch the coaching. Just like when we played Rattler/Haener in those games. We knew we were going to lose but it was the mind boggling bad coaching decisions from DA that made these losses worse- DA never made us competitive. Similarly, its the same issues with Willie- yeah its still a loss- but he provides no coaching advantage whatsoever. If anything some of his decisions make us less competitive.
Im just tired. I want us to win. Even healthy Willie will lose us games we should win and we don’t have that luxury when we’re digging out of a hole. I personally think its addition by subtraction with Willie. Borrego- I think is a better coach. But whatever they do- they need to find a way to win.

I hear "but the injuries" but the Saints had a similar injury problem and apparently Gayle heard enough from fans to fire Allen. The same pressure does not exist from a much smaller contingency of Pels fans. Within the market the Pels aren't even little brother, they're more distant relative crashing on the couch. Not enough people care to get worked up about Willie.

reported Lebron spends $1.5 million on his body every year. Thats a big investment but hes also paid a lot more than a lot of these players. For players such as Zion- I think this would be a wise investment.
LeBron doesn't just spend money. He gets to the arena 3 or 4 hrs early and does all kinds of stretching, massages, and plenty other work. Zion is lazy.
You have to have the drive to best the greatest. Clearly zion doesn't have it and probably never will.

I agree. I’m a big Willie apologist. I don’t think that he’s great, but he’s also rarely gotten the opportunity to coach the team he signed up to coach. I blame most of this mess on Zion not taking shite seriously. And I blame a lot on Griffin. Even though, when healthy, we technically have talent. I think he squandered enough assets and has mismanaged the Zion situation enough to be at fault.
Our offense is frustrating, but a lot of it boils down to a lack of a point guard. When Murray and Jose and even CJ are healthy, that issue isn’t nearly as dire and I think our offensive possessions won’t look nearly as bad as when BI and Brandon Boston struggle to dribble the ball up the floor all game.
We had a pretty healthy training camp and all hell broke loose. I’m not sure how anyone is supposed to coach an offense when 9 guys in the current rotation weren’t even in the building last year. And none of them, minus maybe Nowell is an average ball handler.

You can’t fire the guy when all of his regular players are pretty much out.
