Pelicans have a good chance of getting 50 wins for the just the second time ever. This despite a transparently fat super star, no true point guard, no backup center, and a bench of Naji, nance, Alvarado and Murphy.
If the Pels do get to 50 wins does Willie win coach of the year?

It does to cerebral baws. It simply means there are t many teams in the nba that aren’t trash. Probably 6 legit teams and we haven’t proven to be one of them. We are just an above average scrap heap team.
Let’s win a playoff series before we try and proclaim that being 32-22 means something.

I'd say that's a pretty damn good record considering this is a young team and a young coach who just played as brutal of a schedule as any other team in the league. I'd also say you could probably tack on another 3 or 4 wins if Zion would have gotten a fair whistle.

And if this team had a competent head coach who still wasn’t trying to figure out rotations at this point in the season, and actually challenged his “stars” they would be sitting at 40 wins and people wouldn’t be rightfully anxious and pissed lol

One more thing, I just went through our games against the top 4 teams in the west and we are sitting at about .500 against them...which also means they are sitting at about .500 against us. The Pels are right there...

You can't seriously think Willie has an 8 win impact on this team. I'd think if a coach consistently added 3-4 wins during a full season over his average counterpart he'd be a hall of famer.
