Clippers, with a supposedly healthy PG13 and Kawhi.

Flip side of this is that it may make those two Denver games winnable for the Lakers.

Is Utah that good, Denver that bad, or both?

Don’t expect a Laker trade before Thanksgiving

Pelinka is supposedly waiting to see who sellers will be other than Indy before making a deal.

Problem for the Lakers is that they may be deep somewhere up shite Creek by then.

I agree, but they don't care what seed they are, as long as its top 8.

He was this year's Garland around here and I dont really know why.

In that, a lot of people trashed him due to sample size despite the fact everything about his game looks translatable.

I dont hate Dyson either(in fact I was the first to tell people on this site to keep their eye on him way back at the beginning of last season), but Sharpe projected in my mind to be a long-term anchor when CJ inevitably ages.

As competitive as the west is? Top 10 may be a stretch if they start off dropping a ton of games.

They would need to be winning at a 75% clip or better the rest of the season to make up lost ground.

Doable, but unlikely.

Because he sounds functionally retarded.

I don’t understand this comp at all. Sharpe was gone before the Pels’ pick.

Pelinka isn't particularly smart, but he's not a total idiot. He knows that they have no chance this season, and spending the 2027 and 2029 picks would be stupid -- LeBron will be long gone by then. They are already setting themselves up for seasons of suffering and a very long rebuild, and giving away those picks would prolong that misery.

So, Pelinka is going to wait until the Lakers implode so that he and Jeanie can say that they aren't going to trade those picks, because they aren't going to win a title anyway, and it's dumb to waste picks just to suck a little less.

Yeah, if they thought a trade for Buddy/Turner would make a real difference, they'd have done it already. It might not even be enough to get them out of the Play In Tournament. Imagine mortgaging even more of your future and then not even making the real playoffs.

By thanksgiving they could have 10-15 loses. Is that worth giving up their last 2 1st??

Clips are -5.5 tonight. I pushed it to -6.5 on a bet for the extra juice LFG CLIPS. LAKERS TANK TIME

i’m conflicted on this
one the one hand I want them to be terrible NOW so we get those sweet sweet lottery pix. On the other hand I want Davis marooned in LA on the shittiest team possible for the longest line possible wallowing in a hell of his own creation

220/221 whatever it takes

Khawhi is coming off the bench so expect limited minutes from him tonight. Shouldn't make much of a difference but its something to watch
