Heat are terrible. Nothing like last year's team

all these scrubs playing out of their minds for the lakers is super annoying

specifically bryant and schroder having a combined 49 pts on 16/25 shooting

and schroder hits the dagger

huge win for lakers. just brutal for pels

This Miami D is atrocious. They are letting guys go uncontested to the rim every damn play. Pathetic effort by the Heat tonight. They deserve this loss.

This lakers team is just too scrappy to be a team that is top 8 in lottery odds

As much shite as we give the Lakers, they're on the cusp of .500 basketball which we couldn't even sniff last year

Key to betting the NBA is figuring out which team is gonna actually try...and which team is just gonna mess around for most of the night. For instance, you never know WHAT Jimmy Butler is gonna do...until the playoffs.

They’re a good defensive team.

They are 27th in scoring defense and 23rd in defensive rating.

Gotta feelin' if this game was a playoff game...with the same lineups...the Heat would probably win. It's the NBA folks...not every team gives a decent effort every night. This loss means next to nothing...for the Heat.

The Lakers?

They are a below average defensive team.

Of the 3 major sports...only MLB gives you a fairly consistent level of effort...game after game. NFL is second and NBA is a VERY VERY distant 3rd. I'm talkin' overall...not every team.

Huh? You ever watch the Pirates on the rubber match at 1pm?

They allowed Schroder to get to the rim at will. However, I could not believe Speolstra did not challenge the foul of Schroder by Oladipo with 2:35 left. Schroder clearly turned his body and threw out his leg to initiate contact. Oladipo was begging Spoelstra to challenge. That was 3 FTs late in a 3 point game. Not sure what he was saving his challenge for.

so you played football at a high level but not basketball?

they are pro scrubs.

i just played AAU basketball at my peak fitness. i played against guys who later got paid by nba and aba teams.
if i was on i could beat anyone. some days i hit 5 or 6 in a row inside, outside, in the lane. perimeter scrub pros can do that often. not consistently but often enough.

Hardest remaining #NBA schedules:

1. Miami Heat
2. Los Angeles Clippers
3. Los Angeles Lakers
4. Orlando Magic
5. New York Knicks

Oops...sorry...I was talkin' about actual MLB...NOT a glorified AAA organization that mainly serves as a feeder system for MLB.

I didn't know about the standings - if that's the case I guess so. But when I've watched this year, they always seem to play tough/physical on the defensive end.

A lot of their players do play hard defensively. They just suck at it. Last year they played with zero effort and also sucked

I gotta agree...the load management and sitting out is just starting to run rampant in the NBA and it's to a level where it's expected and encouraged and anyone who dares question it is dismissed.

I mean if you wait until you are 100% all the time to play you might never play.
