They also added Thomas Bryant to it, so they only have 2 open spots.

I wonder if this is what the Jeannie Buss Kobe text was about.

Why would he? He is gone within 3 years, if not 1 year.

They don’t care about picks, they care about trophies….

Gosh.

For the time being, everyone in Lakertown has to pretend that the emperor has clothes.

They all have to pretend that Russell Westbrook is still a great player, and the sole reason that he struggled so much last season was that Frank Vogel used him so poorly. It's all Vogel's fault, don't you see?

Engaging in this pretense is what will keep egos comfortable and the feathers from getting too ruffled. After the season gets going and Westbrook is still dreadful, then people will begin to say, "Huh, I guess it wasn't all Vogel's fault after all."

Then, and only then, can Darvin Ham begin to leave Westbrook out of the starting lineup and start bringing him off the bench.

Of course, the Lakers hope all of this is moot, and that what Ham is doing in that interview is pumping Westbrook up so that Nets fans will actually be duped into thinking that they are getting something of value in a trade for Kyrie.

It won’t matter look at their depth at guard. They are figgity figgity fricked. Lebron gunna play all 4 quarters of an 82 game season at point?

They don’t have a center as of now from what I see.

If Davis has to play center regularly, he will come down with vaginitis shortly.

Kyrie was at the Sparks WNBA game last night. Allegedly he was asked by a fan when he was going to be a Laker and he shouted "real real soon".

Thomas Bryant and Damian Jones are their centers. Not very good, but one of those 2 is most likely going to be the starter.

The speculation I saw said Kyrie to the Lakers gets LeBron to sign another 1 + 1. Locking into a top heavy roster around declining, injury prone, flaky stars again sounds like 2 more picks in the teens or better to me.

If you want to meditate on just how bad the Lakers old supporting cast was last season, consider that Avery Bradley, Trevor Ariza, Melo, Dwight, Wayne Ellington, Kent Bazemore, DJ Augustin, and Darren Collison played over 6100 minutes last season for the Lakers.

Apparently, none of them have yet been offered a contract by any NBA team.

I don't see how anyone in their right mind can continue to say that when 3 top 15 players? are healthy that they are not going to be contending for a title?

Yes..... you'll need some Disney type shite....

"when you wish upon a star........."

Where LeBron gets hurt, AD gets hurt, Kyrie is on the moon... but after that are you serious?

Adding shooting surrounding these guys will only help even more so... if they get Joe Harris or Curry.... or both this will be put them in contention for sure.

This past year obv the inconsistency with lineups, healthy bodies, SHOOTING.... hurt them and it played out great.

Again...the narrative in this thread is pretty simple, but also if you understand the game of basketball you know that this trio could be very very scary....

replacing the complete and total negative that was Russell Westbrook with ANYTHING positive will help them a ton

unfortunately that is true. I hate that the Nets (and probably Spurs) are going to bail them out.

It is a step in the right direction but you only go so far when players 4-15 don’t really plug holes in the skill sets of your stars.

They need a lot of 3 and D guys and they need big men because Davis hates playing center. They have gotten a guy or two who can shoot but not much else.
