We’ve won 38% of our games, you all need to stop with this silliness of trying to leave out context to frame us as greater than we currently are.

Which is every team in the league basically---See LA and Brk
Playing the game to intentionally lose never works out---if it happens, it happens--you don't do it on purpose.

I'm still pretty fricking melty that we didn't get Powell for basically nothing. We had the goddamn TPE and everything, too.

You’ve melted 3 days over Norm Powell?….

And one of those players is unlikely to come back and has missed more games than he was eligible to play as a pro. So we are a .500 at best team, with a star we can’t say will ever be fully healthy, arguing the need to sacrifice a draft pick up to the alter of being a sacrificial lamb for Phoenix under the premise it will confer some sort of magical power, to, I guess Bi and Herb, that if we don’t grind our best players chasing it…something, something.
If on the chance we make a good deal and don’t get fleeced for, say, McCollum, and we end up in the playoffs, it is what it is. But the ideal long term position for this franchise to be in will still be standing at the end of the season with our draft pick and a healthy roster going into 2022-23.

I’m waiting to see how things shake out, but without seeing into the future, Powell for basically nothing is a much, much better scenario than I heard any reasonable fan come up with when we spoke about getting Hield, Fournier, and other guys that aren’t as good as Powell.
Maybe it’s signaling Griff is about to pull off a coup that he hasn’t so far in his tenure outside the AD trade, or, it could mean while we were distracted negotiating an overpay for a marginally better player on net, LA swooped in and navigated their way to the best value trade at the deadline the way Cle did with Jarrett Allen. We’ll have to wait and see

I mean in terms of this board. I don't think about Norman Powell off this board or FBB

Just stop.
IF you're giving up on Zion as a star, then quit or argue we should deal him now.

Since this was one of my main arguments in the past, am I above being "reasonable"? What am I? Almighty? Preeminent? Unquestionable?

I think Griff is looking to bring in multiple players. A player like Gordon to solidify the bench and our need for shooting, and then find away to get Swipa to New Orleans.
At first I thought we may bring in a Sabonis and McCollum duo, sending out Val & Hart to Portland but I guess we’ll know more in coming hours.

In a world where Indy keeps Sabonis, trading Myles for a package featuring Washington still makes as much sense when the two teams supposedly spoke a year ago….which is it makes a good deal of sense for both sides

We all know Griff likes complicated trades. Go for the trifecta, bring in Fox, Sabonis and Heurter

Fox and Sabonis playing with Zion would be not ideal.
There’s this thing called the 3 point line, and when you shoot from behind it you get 3 points when you make it, and when your good at it, the defense guards you out there so that allows guys like Zion more room to get to the goal.
Fox and Sabonis suck from 3.

I'm guessing it would be centered around a Randle for McCollum swap?
Which doesn't make a lot of sense for NY at this point, and most other players don't make much sense for Portland.

I thought Portland was trying to shed salary?
Me thinks this is Portland throwing a fit we took Jaxson off the table.

Yea.. there's no way they are taking back Randle's contract. Wouldn't make any sense whatsoever.
