Well if anything looks like the pick we gave the Grizzlies next year will be the last pick of the 1st round.

That seems unprecedented. Its usually old washed players that do this.

Yeah I don’t get it at all. Nunn had $3.1 mil in career earnings before this. You’d think he would want to cash in.

Monk at least was a lotto pick and made almost $16 mil. Even then He should’ve locked up long term money. If he reverts to his 2020 self he might be chasing another minimum contract

Its also possible that the talk that they "got bigger offers" was pretty much agent nonsense and the offers they were getting were not much different.

don't have to when you have players accepting the minimum

No shite. I didn’t say he was. I said the Lakers could have given him $9.5 million easily. They didn’t offer him that obviously or he would have stayed.

You literally said MATCH his salary number. As if they knew what he was going to get when he signed the contract. Who knows if he told the Lakers that his contract from the bulls is 4/37? Find me a lakers fan who is happy that he is let go. You’re kidding if you don’t think that’s a good contract for Caruso. Even then, he can be easily tradable.

Also if anything, it would be most likely 20 million for Caruso due to the luxury tax.

As in they could have offered him that same contract. They knew he was going to get close to $10 mil. They didn’t offer him that.

Well they just gave Talen Horton Tucker $10mil per year. So they obviously valued him way more than Caruso

Yeah, Tucker is a Klutch client and Caruso isn't.

Who knows if they didn’t offer him that or not? He could just want a new scenery or playing time. Even so if Lakers did offer it to him, the luxury tax will be worth it too much for him.

Caruso at 10 million yes. Caruso at 20 million, not really for four years straight.

Griff can't give out money away ... we will be the negotiating tool for other FAs for years to come

Also they are valuing Tucker’s potential instead of valuing what Caruso offers to the table. Based on advanced stats, Caruso is better at Tucker at everything btw.

If they had an actual deal in place for another move following the Graham move to preserve cap space you would think it would have been announced by now. So it appears they are now…searching for deals.

We shall see. The hour is becoming increasingly late.

Yeah, I think still searching. Gotta wonder what the plan was and what happened. One player still out there that worries me is Schroder. Hope they do not touch him.

Teams know we are desperate too. If we do something expect us to lose many of the picks we got
