I personally don't think it means anything. Derozan is better and not all deals are the same.

I was really trying to refrain myself from getting angry, but how do you not get a 1st from the bulls when they sent one for derozan?

Idk how the Griff apologists can defend him in this one. Compare the trash we got to what the Spurs got. And the excuse that “we had no leverage” is bogus. Just match the damn offer. Can figure it out from there as the season goes along if you want to move Lonzo or not.

Derozan is so much better than Lonzo it is not really comparable.
Now if you want to talk about the inherent value of Restricted v Unrestricted that is a different thing.

Derozan is not as old as I thought, seems like he has been around forever. So the Bulls have (off the top of my head):
