Who do you guys believe Pelicans should target in free agency this year?
My number 1 target is Fred Vanvleet. I know the word intangibles gets thrown around a lot in sports but if there was ever a guy I could say has those intangibles in spades it would be Fred.

Feel like Fred’s gonna get overpaid.

are we just dreaming or do you want to talk about players who will actually be available?

did ya'll know fred vanvleet was undrafted?

Joe Harris or Bertans would be beautiful
Both likely to get big paid though

This FA class is hot garbage, and anyone remotely worth a shite will get overpaid.

So should we overpay Moore if possible on a short deal? So he can be shipped out around the time the better years of free agency start

I'd really love to land Gallo as our 6th man and backup at the 3/4.
PG- Lonzo, NAW
SG- Jrue, JJ
SF- Ingram, Gallo
PF- Zion, Melli
C- Favors, Hayes
That rotation looks fantastic in theory.

Someone’s gonna pay big for gallo and make him their starter. He won’t come here to be a bench player

Gonna have to pay Favors as well. But I think the staff wants to see how him and Zion work together first.

No list of free Agents.
Boo. Downvote
Any good ones, current team has bird rights and they cost 20 to 30 million.

We have 10 guys on the books for next year, including Miller.
We have our two picks, and the Wizards early 2nd. I would think we will trade our second and the Wizards to move up to grab a guy we really want, so we'll have two rookies at a minimum.
That leaves 3 spots open, and if we don't bring Moore back, we'll having something around $15-20M to spend with cap space.
I'd love if we signed Jerami Grant to a nice contract, but i'm pretty sure Denver intends to resign him and he's part of their future. I think he's the perfect 4 to play with Zion. Marcus Morris wouldn't be a bad option either, but i'd really love to get Grant. He's basically a 6'8" Josh Hart with a 7'3 wingspan. He's shooting 39% from 3 the last 2 years, and he's 25 years old.
We can easily create more room by letting Miller go if we have to.
I also think we are going to end up trading Jrue in the offseason, so depending on if that happens will dictate everythign else.

Id rather have heyward at sf than gallinari but the cost is what you pay if you are one guy away.
And boston has bird rights.
This exercise will be easier after season.

quote:Won't have that much as you have to consider the cap holds on Ingram and Favors. Those limit what we have available. We most likely will be operating over the cap and only have the MLE and maybe BAE to work with.

This team does not need to be players in free agency this offseason. It needs to focus on apportioning future cap space to the players it has.

Not sure he would fit with Zion but I want Montrezl Harrell on the team. Always liked his game. I’m sure he’s going to get a decent payday though.
