Delly, he’s gritty, plays his role and probably won’t ask for too much.

Dear God no. He's a 29 year old small guard who shoots 32% FG and 17% from 3 on over 4 attempts per game. His offense is horrific and being "gritty" does not mean he is a good defender. He's only known for pestering Steph for 2 games of the finals and then getting torched

You’re definitely not looking at the most important part which is, he will not ask for too much.

He is just a role player that is a cheap free agent who brings a good locker room mentality and knows that he won’t be a starter.

Are you thinking I want to sign him to start? No, this thread asks who is a good free agent to target, not starter specific.

I just think there are plenty of better options. I don't want a bench player that sucks at offense and defense just because of their mentality and cheapness?

Won't have that much as you have to consider the cap holds on Ingram and Favors. Those limit what we have available. We most likely will be operating over the cap and only have the MLE and maybe BAE to work with.

ingrams hold is only $9M. I didn’t count Favors or Moore’s, which is why we’d have at least $15M to work with and could easily make it more if we wanted to.

Anthony Davis and David Griffin completes the master plan and resigns with the Pelicans and go on to create a dynasty

The most important position we gotta fill in the offseason is a new coach.

Spotrac has it at 9 million, but I was reading a cap breakdown article a few weeks ago that said his cal hold is 22 million, so it may have increased.

I've been trying to find that article again but no luck

Edit: Found it.

Basketball Insiders has BI at $21,796,00, Favors at $26 mil and Moore at $16 mil

in this FA market, not sure the Pels would simply renounce Moore and Favors.

Not sure which is correct. I thought it was $21 million as he was coming off of his rookie contract, but it may revert to his QO once the Pels give him the QO.

What's crazy is that there's probably a handful of people that actually know what BI cap hold should be. The NBA salary crap is so god damn confusing.

I don't know how feasible this would be, but I'm very curious what Serge Ibaka would look like on this team.

Lonzo
Jrue
BI
Zion
Ibaka

VERY versatile starting 5.

Joe Harris or Bertans would be beautiful

I like both guys a lot, but with JJ already on the squad as the volume shooter, Harris is redundant & Bertans takes almost 9/game. There just isn't enough shots to distribute. & like you said, they will command a payday.

I brought up Nemanja Bjelica in the other thread because he gives you a similar style of play as Bertans but takes less shots at a similar percentage. And as Zion & Hayes grow, you want them taking more shots. He's also older (31) & less likely to command a large contract

That rotation looks fantastic in theory.

At this point, it looks like we need to insert Frank behind Lonzo instead of NAW.
