Wrong. I grew up a ND fan too. Why? They were ALWAYS on TV.

And why were they always on TV?

A long history of winning that built a national following.

The lack of logic is astounding.

Bump because I was in the arena and it was more of that same crap.

Even with this roster.

Dude every arena has a ton of Lakers fan when they play, watch when the Lakers play Golden State, Boston, Toronto it's the same and truthfully a lot worst.

When Doris Burke said that Lakers fans traveled well to this game I was like yeah right they're just bandwagoners who live here.

Memphis had more Lakers fans at their game yesterday than in Nola. Losers just want to be a part of a “winning” franchise. They’re weak

I learned many years ago some people aren’t fans of a team rather they are fans of a national BRAND. The national brands are:

Los Angeles Lakers
Notre Dame football
Dallas Cowboys
Pittsburgh Steelers
New York Yankees
Chicago Cubs
Boston Red Sox

Sure I’m probably leaving some teams out but off the top of my head you’ll always see fans of these brands throughout the country.

Yep. These people suck and I let them bother me way more than I should. I typically talk zero shite at games but I make an exception for people who are from New Orleans but cheer for whatever team or player is trendy. I think the only time this will stop is when New Orleans wins their first championship with Zion. We’ll be the front runner with the biggest star, they’ll have no choice.

I think those days are coming at least on a temporary basis.

NOLA has proven over these 15 years the average person in state is a bangwagon basketball fan

whether it was A.I., Tracy McGrady, Kobe, LeBron, etc

Louisiana tends to support the player/team that is perceived to be the face of the league and those players/teams always had a decent following here

well the next face of the league is Zion and his team is on the up and up

those nasty West Bankers will soon have to retire their 23 Laker jerseys and talk about the plight of being a life long Pelican fan before Bronny or some other thing comes along

Never. Just get used to it and ridicule the shite out of them when you see them in the Blender.

I was a Shaq fan from the LSU days. I was a Magic fan then a Lakers fan. People have different reasons for their team loyalties.

So you were loyal to LSU and Shaq, followed him in the NBA with no actual team loyalty, and decided to stick with the lakers after Shaq left because they were good? So there really was no actual "team loyalty"

I was in Charlotte a couple of years ago and the 49ers were in town. I was at a hotel bar and saw 4 middle aged guys with 49ers gear on. Asked where they were from and said Charlotte area. I asked why they weren’t panthers fans and they said they grew up on the same street and loved Joe Montana and made a promise to always follow and be 49ers fans.

New Orleans didn’t have a team back then. I’m a Pelicans fan now. I’m just illustrating why people in nola may follow other teams.

Meh, it happens everywhere. I know it's annoying but screw it. Don't let it kill your buzz
