I'd have to have a gun at my head to pick #5 if that was it for life. To go the distance without a Miles or Beatles reference is unthinkable. Same with choices of each. Choosing between the first quintet, second quintet (my fave), and then Bitches Brew / Jack Johnson era is no different than selecting from three separate essential artists. Same with Beatle eras... too many other essential artist as well ...frick this....

I went through here and took note of some albums I'd never heard before, and I must say, I've become fricking obsessed with this album. Incredible music.
