Our church did a contemporary version of "Nothing But The Blood" a few weeks back and it was just nothing but powerful. We do a lot of modern Christian worship, which I love (although my list is slowly shrinking down to Hillsong and maybe a song or two there from others), but when we do a hymn............I don't know. It resonates with everyone. Always a powerful moment.

For Modern day hymns, look towards:

Keith & Kristyn Getty - "In Christ Alone"

Great song, but I'll be happy if I never play it again.

Our church just purchased new hymnals and this song is in it. Great new hymn.

Why? Play it too much?

A bit.

From the Inside Out
Mighty To Save
Glory to God
God of this City

Our old worship leader died of cancer about 4 years ago, and so our previous pastor was also in charge of picking the songs every week. Whenever a new song would come out that super popular, we played the snot out of it. Like every week.

That list of songs above are the ones off the top of my head that I hope to never play again. Unfortunate because they are all great worship songs.

Amazing Grace
How Great Thou Art
It is Well
Because He Lives
Glorify Thy Name
In the Garden
I Surrender All
In Remembrance of Me
I Come to the Cross
More Precious than Silver

Chris Tomlin's "I Stand Amazed" will never get old with me. Although, we haven't played it in some time, so that might be why I feel that way

Unbelievable performance of it by Carrie Underwood.

David Crowder Band did a rendition of "I Saw The Light" that was awesome

I saw the light, I saw the light
No more darkness no more night
Now I'm so happy, no sorrow in sight
Praise the Lord I saw the light
