I am on vacation in Asheville and someone told me that WILCO was playing Friday night after I told them I was going to see Treduski Truck's on Wednesday.
I knew little to nothing about them but have heard their name.

A quick google seems their music can be all over the place but their older music seems good.

Are they good live now?

It’s’s a six minute walk to the smaller venue and I don’t want to miss if it’s a have a good show.

Fwiw… there is live music and good food all over them place downtown Asheville.

Tweedy is a talented guy and yes, he does go off on different musical tangents which can be good or not. I haven't seen Wilco since the 90s but I would go see them and I am going to see Tweedy solo this summer in Massachusetts.

Yes, Im in. Just finished watching an old doc/movie they made and they sound pretty damn good. Seems like they changed genres but I’m going because walking to venue is just too dam easy to pass up.

It’s only a 1 block walk to see Derek Trucks on their Hurricane Helen
make up show. They rebooked this gig after we booked this trip so both these bigger acts are musical gifts. These street music and trios all over the place here.

Saw Waxahatchee a couple of weeks ago. Worth the price of admission alone.

Saw them a week ago in Nola and I thought it was the best they’ve ever sounded and I’ve seen them a bunch.

Waxahatchee is a great opener too.

Saw them multiple times and just saw them again Friday night in Nashville and wouldn't think twice about going. They are on fire & top of their game right now. Probably the most jammy I've seen them. Nels Cline is the one of the most underrated guitarist out there.

Their live shows are out of this world. It's amazing that a band that can put out some pretty quiet thoughtful songs can rock so hard live. Nels Cline is an almost 70 year old phenom.

And adding on, Waxahatchee was amazing. I would go see that band headlining anytime. And for what it's worth, Jeff Tweedy's son is the drummer. Talented kid.

The video you posted was with MJ Lenderman. You should check out his solo stuff. He is phenomenal. Check out Boat Songs and Manning Fireworks first but all his stuff is great.

I've seen them several times over the years, and its always a great show. For an indie band, they are loaded with serious musical talent. Nels Cline is one of the best guitarists out there. Watching him is kind of mind blowing at times. John Stirratt is an excellent bassist, from Mandeville. Glen Kotche is a very interesting, impressive drummer.

Waxahatchee is great too. Jeff Tweedy's son Spencer plays drums for Waxahatchee and he's good.

They used to be one of my favorite bands but their albums over the last decade + just haven't done it for me. Good thing is is they still play a bunch of older stuff.

Go.

I’m going to the same show. Both bands will be great. I saw Wilco two years ago. They are awesome live. They jam as good as anybody.

I guess I’ll go contrarian. Saw them in 2022 and thought it was boring as frick.

Understatement. He's always searching for the different path.

I,m staying downtown and went by the venue. That entire block of Coxe St is one big brewery- music venue-restaurants. I imagine Friday night it will be roaring.
