I know Cat Stevens made it, but he is more 60’s. I know the 60’s ALWAYS gets extra love.

.... and he probably bit the bullet before his time. If he'd lived longer there's no telling how many more songs he'd be remember for (Hall of Fame wise).

Hands down one of my top 5 artists. Don't care about Hall of Fame, just wish he could've lived on to make more music. The guy had a gift.

Vastly underrated. We all know the hits - some of which are fantastic. It's the album tracks/lesser known songs that showcase how great he was:

Croce's hit career went from '72 to '73.
They were contemporaries. But Croce never converted to Islam, so he's not in the Hall of Fame.
