The music cartel has decided she is popular, so the oligopoly that controls most of the music/entertainment/information industry is pushing her music on every platform until people decide to like it and accept that she is a star, just like they do with all other sucky music. The music industry does not listen to what listeners want, it tells listeners what to want. The industry is all about segregating people into cultural boxes and then marketing products to each “boxed” culture as if you must desire and own said products to belong in said culture.

She is amazingly talented,especially for her age. Her best stuff isn't played on the radio. All of her stuff she has recorded is from the age of 13-16. Of course some will be silly, but she will end up being the most well known female artist of all time.

there was a time that no matter how much i thumbs downed it, Pandora was convinced i wanted her on my easy listening station.
then my boys love Imagine Dragons and other upbeat music on their station and they kept pushing her relentlessly.
she's like beck. i get the talent and appeal, but it's awful to my ears.

I have only heard Bad Guy, but it's a better track than the vast majority of pop out right now. It's musically interesting.
