I swear I think there is more hate for the Eagles now especially with the under 30 crowd b/c of Big Lebowski cult following. I just don't remember the hate pre Lebowski. Many may have been indifferent towards them but not the straight up hate responses like in the thread. I've just always have felt they were like Steve Miller Band. Just a plane jane bland rock band.

I like some of their stuff: Outlaw Man, Too Many Hands, After The Thrill Is Gone, The Sad Café, Wasted Time, I Can't Tell You Why.

What the hell do people have against olive garden?
Of course it's not going to taste like you're in the hills of Tuscany, but I mean if you don't mind stuffing your body with carbs for a meal, I can think of a lot shittier places to eat. Olive Garden is pretty dang good IMO, although I've only eaten there like 3 times.

That is quite possibly the worst thing you can say about a band, in my eyes. I loathe the Steve Miller Band with an almost unhealthy abandon. They don't just suck, they aggressively suck.
I'm not a fan of the Eagles, but I've always been largely indifferent towards them. But Steve Miller makes me spit blood.

This is probably true because Their Greatest Hits (1971–1975) is the third best selling album of all time.

I have never been a big fan of the eagles, but there is far worse rock out there than the eagles. CCR is pretty cool though.

I've always liked the Eagles and I keep saying that one day, I want to finally see them in concert. Then I look at the ticket prices and say, "not THAT badly."

i don't hate the eagles, but i hate them for being the first band to "go there", i.e. charging $100 for tickets back in 1994....as a concertgoer, things were never the same after that.

Hotel California is a great album, but everything after that is pretty boring. Saw them in concert and the only highlights were Walsh doing Walk Away and Rocky Mt High and the old cougar in front of me flipping out after hitting my joint.
I don't hate them, but can't say I like them either.

I don't hate either, but I hate that if you listen to a half hour of a "classic rock" station, 30 minutes out of the 45 minutes of music will be Steve Miller and the Eagles.
