Saw him in Nola with Rob Zombie. Ozzy came in on a sleigh on rails above the crowd.

Saw Ozzy at this concert when I was 15.

I remember Zakk Wylde just joining the band after Randy Rhoades' tragic plan crash. I believe Brad Gillis was playing with Ozzy at the time too. Brad went on to form the band Night Ranger.

Interview shortly after this concert.

Saw him in KC. It’s the concert that he put the Ulimate Sin concert video out on. Also saw Maiden at Long Beach which became their landmark concert video Live after Death.

That’s kind of cool.

I think you misremember that, Jake.

You are right, but not about the Jake part. I looked it up. It was Brad Gillis. He joined Ozzy in April of 1982. Sorry about that.

You said you remember Zakk joining the band after Randy died. Not possible. The order is Brad Gillis, Jake E. Lee, Zakk Wylde. Regardless, I'm not trying to pick a fight or anything, God Bless Ozzy and Randy.

I've been to 100s of concerts the last forty or so years and every time I was filled with bong resin and beer hops. No way I remember everything perfectly.

As it should be.

This is incorrect. The show was actually in 2001. I still have the ticket stub. The 10 dates after the New Orleans show were postponed because Ozzy fell and broke his leg.

I saw him at Tad Gormley Stadium in city park summer of 1982. I believe Blue Oyster Cult, Foghat, Zebra and a couple of other bands played as well.

No way!

When asked by an interviewer what actor he would want to play him in a movie about his life, Ozzy replied "Denzel Washington." More of an inside joke than the usual Netflix idiocy.

only once, february 2011. my buddy worked with ozzy's drummer - who btw was the nicest guy in the world. so we got to be backstage for a couple hours before the show. never had the chance to meet ozzy up close. since my friend was working he asked me not to fanboy. but he was there, wandering around. this was well after the tv show so you know what he looked/acted like. pretty out of it, wandering around mumbling.
not when he got on stage though. you would have thought it was 1982 once he got up there. dude was on fire and had the crowd in his hand. i don't even like ozzy all that much and it was a spectacular show

Not to pile on, but just wanted to register the humor of this "memory moment". It doesn't even make sense internally (Zakk and Brad playing at the same time?) Not to mention the already-remarked-upon deletion of 5 years and 2 full Jake albums.

Let me do the Metallica version:

I remember Rob Trujillo joining the band right after Cliff Burton's tragic bus crash. He went on to form Suicidal Tendencies, who did OK.
