write country songs and pitch them when I can.
I've heard some of them, good stuff. I play guitar and sing. We are working on a REM cover band these days, IRS years. Still trying to get the songs down and getting together once a month isn't helping.

Thanks man. Got some new stuff getting recorded right now. I will link them soon.
Good luck with the band, at some point somebody is going to have to make time. That's why I gave up trying to have a band though, pickers in my area just don't take it seriously.
I've got a handful of folks to pick with, but it seems like getting three together at the same time is damn near impossible.
I recently was able to buy a good 6 string banjo at a great price and I came up with a new way to string it, so it actually sounds like a banjo. It's working pretty well.

Gigs, studio sessions- piano/keyboard/organ
Bar gigs where people are just trying to have a good time - guitar
Dabble with drums and bass but I’d leave it to the professionals in a band

Guitar, bass, mandolin, ukulele, banjo
I can make you believe that I know how to play the piano, but I don't really know exactly what I am doing.

bass guitar
currently gigging semi-regularly with a band i’ve been in for about 2 1/2 years, and working in another “fun” band with an eye towards our first gig in June
and i finally feel like i’m approaching mastery of my chosen instrument
i picked up a bass for the first time about 48 years ago, and i was just telling the wife i’ve only recently reached the point where i dont feel like an imposter when i tell people “i’m a musician”
