Somewhere in the 30s or 40s range is what I was thinking just wanted to get some others input.

They're definitely superior to the Foo Fighters

They are in their own Genre to me. But they are probably in my top 20 favorite bands in the last 30 years.

I'll tell you this - I did not have much esteem for the RHCP until a friend showed me Live At Slane Castle. Totally changed my opinion.

I really like them to but I would say top 35 for me maybe top 30 if I had to think about it.

I loved them until I saw them in concert. They are an awful live band, so it's hard for me to take them seriously. Keidis has to have the worst lead voice in music history.

Flea is pretty boss on bass though.

A band with several talented musicians who happen to make shitty, bland music.

I personally think their strength of schedule hurts them.

I mean, I get ranking a top ten or something like that, but I can't think of anything more arbitrary than ranking someone in the mid 40's or so.

I'm not from california, never thought that were groundbreaking or better than anything Mike Patton was doing.

Flea is the most legit in his bass talents.

Not high up there, everyone else besides flea could be replaced. People may would argue about anything and his vocals, but ehh..

You greatly underestimate John Frusciante. Look at their material with and without him.

It's going to come off as sounding arrogant, and I don't really mean it this way, but it's hard for me to be in awe of a guitar player when I do more warming up than they do on a whole album. Not trying to disrespect, I'd say the same thing about many guitar players out there. (a lot of the frustration in that, is that 75% of the time..they are better than what they give on an album)

I get that playing is about soul. To me soul>>>>technical for the sake of being technical. You can't imitate that.

He definitely has that, their music has never just, stood out or spoken to me. I get that it does and has to a lot of other people and that's a great thing about music.

He's definitely better than completely overrated Navarro.

BSSM is a masterpiece. Rick Rubin put it all together on that album.
