We need a show here! Paging Tiger Stadium, Superdome! Fork up the money!

Where is Billy Nungesser when you need him to open up the wallet?

Probably never. Louisiana is a tough sell for rock and metal acts.

Are you willing to spend $500~$800+ per ticket ?
Based on Metallica's current booked tour dates, that is the going rate.
$75, $100, or even $175 concert ticket prices are a thing of the past.

The last time they were in Louisiana was covering for Green Day's last minute Voodoo Fest cancellation in October 2012. For a globally recognized artist, this is not a shock.

I'm more surprised that the new version of Pantera hasn't played a Louisiana show yet considering their frontman lives in Folsom.

The last rock/metal show in the Superdome was the Guns N Roses “reunion” with The Cult opening & in 2016 & it didn’t sell out. I was there. They moved all the people who bought upper level tickets to one of the two lower levels.

Promoters have the stats & they remember stuff like this. Metallica has had Pantera opening for them on this current stadium tour in America for the last 2 years. With the prices they are charging it is a toss up if the Superdome would sell out. I went to the Arlington & Houston shows on this tour & they both sold out easily. They also have more tickets available as they play in the round.

Not in the 80’s and 90’s. Warrant even filmed Uncle Tom’s Cabin down here.

The last Pantera show in New Orleans was 1996. They played Biloxi a couple of times before they broke up. Pantera is a Texas band, even if this version of the band only has one person from there. Phil doesn't book the tour dates.
