“Dirty Work” by Steely Dan. Does not have their typical Donald Fagen sound...
Their only hit with that singer.

Your instincts are correct, sir.

Not downvoting, just mocking you in (near) silence.

I consider myself reasonably knowledgeable about pop/rock music. I mean, who doesn’t know The Troggs - Wild Thing? I considered them a one hit wonder. I very recently figured out Love Is All Around is by The Troggs as well. Not bad after 55 years.

Always think Memphis, TN is sung by Chuck Berry instead of Johnny Rivers.

When I was younger, I thought "Go your own way" was Pat Benatar.

Both released a version of the song.

Chuck Berry wrote the song and first recorded it in 1959. It was released as the B-Side to "Back In the U.S.A.". Johnny Rivers covered it in 1964.

Until I was in my 40s, I thought "I can't tell you why" by the Eagles was sung by a chick and not bassist Timothy B. Schmit.

My assistant who is in his 40s found out last year that "I can see clearly now" was sung by a man--Johnny Nash and not a woman.

Pretty old when I discovered that "Teenage Wasteland" by The WHO is actually titled "Baba O'Riley"

No skin off my back man. Imagine Dragons was a band I made fun of relentlessly in the past just like you are right now. But this song is relatable, even though not a single other song from their catalog is for me.

Do you man, I personally just don’t write any music off anymore. Some of it connects, and I’ve needed every tiny slice of strength I found in the last 14 months now that I’m dealing with heart failure that landed me in the hospital for near a month and near killed me after getting myself in the best shape of my life at 34.

I guess, at the end of the day, music just means more to me than it does to you. Music changed my life. For you, it’s a hobby. For me, it helped me stay positive and optimistic in the darkest of times.

I know it means more to me than it does to you, because I’d never judge anyone and ridicule anyone for having a connection to a song that helped them understand the process of how to become a better person.

Music saved and changed my life. Posts like yours, just show you’re kinda an arse. You haven’t even scratched the surface of the positive power of music. Maybe a little open mindedness and self reflection can help you grow a little.

Milli Vanilli. Weird deal to say the least. The real singers never got a deal? Think they were on one of those news shows [ ET ], but they just fell off completely. Must have been some ugly fricks.

Red Rider's Lunatic Fringe, when it came out, everyone thought this was a Pink Floyd song

Either a troll job or you are a 12 year old girl.

Imagine Dragons is the musical equivalent of a children's book writer who's not good enough to make real art so they tear it down and make it for simple children to enjoy. Not inherently bad, just wish they wouldn't parade around posing as legitimate artists.

Lullabies is essentially what they write.
