Spin Doctors
Blues Traveler
Hootie & the Blowfish
Soundgarden
Every damn Aerosmith song whose title was one word long.
Wallflowers
Oasis

With the exception of Aerosmith I don't even feel like I have to name the songs. You can figure them out just by the name of the group.

Forgot about Matchbox 20. They were played nonstop for years.

All depends on what station you listened to back then- I listened to The Buzz in Houston during those years, so the Seattle bands received a lot of airplay along with STP, Beck, Green Day, etc. Also saw a ton of concerts in the 90's- great decade for live music!

This thread is reminding me that even though there was really great music in the 90s, there was so much crap, too..

This song is lumped right in there and I recall hearing this song over and over again one summer.

Breakfast at Tiffany's

The only one you missed was Hold My Hand instead of I Only Want to be With You.

I also should have added whoever the band was that did that stupid Breakfast at Tiffany's song. (Didn't see the comment above.)

BluesTraveler and The Wallflowers.
Pretty tough shoes for Jacob Dylan to fill but I enjoy that album. He has to be the most successful out of the Beatles/Stones/Bob Dylan kids.

Third Eye Blind is the most underrated overrated band from that period. Those first 3 albums were top notch.

Early 90’s was Gun’s and Roses and Metallica with Use your Illusion 1/2 and Black Album

After that run it was all about grunge/alt from about 93 on. It was like a light switch went off when Smells Like Teen Spirit dropped.

The rest of the decade was dominated by Nirvana, Pearl Jam, RHCP, STP, Foo Fighters etc....

Out of the non-grunge 90's pop-rock bands like Third Eye Blind, Gin Blossoms, Matchbox 20, Live, Collective Soul etc. I liked TEB the best.

Agreed. There is 0 fat on that first debut self titled album. And possibly the best 3 song ending to any album I’ve heard.

Kevin Cadogan was the heart and soul of that band. Stephen Jenkins just wrote the lyrics and screwed over Kevin.

Come out and play/self esteem by the offspring.
