Gwar, but you know what your are getting into when you go see them.
I want to check out Ghost live.
Did also see another local band play with the drum kit facing away from the audience, so all you saw is the drummer's back

So F.i.s.t was playing at something by the museum. I don't think it was voodoo, but it might have been. It was at some random stage off to the side that wasn't really easy to find, a buddy (let's call him George) and I went over to see a girl I knew.
We get there and right away it was weird vibes. Everyone,except me and George,was dressed in all black with pale facepaint. My first and only real interaction of goth people.
Anyway, the show starts and everyone on stage is covered in piercing, ear spacers, eye brows, nipples, everywhere.
The music was screaming terrible thrasher music and there was a giant white fist above the stage.
Then a guy comes out to the front of the stage and hooks his back piercing to a chain and proceeds to walk forward stretching and tearing and bleeding his back.
Then two guys come up from behind the stage, are connected via back piercings to a chain, and walk away from each other in some horrible to watch bloody piercing tug of war. They yanked and twitched further showing pain and blood.
The whole time women and men in different tribal and animal costumes walked around the tormented piercing people and screamed at them and made weird gestures with wooden staffs and things.
Then I left. To this day it is the weirdest thing I've seen at festival.

There used to be an act called Pain Tribe that did something similar. I saw them at the Spanish Moon once.

Another one from last weekend in Austin. I was at the bar called The Local. At the front of the stage was a fat kid in an undersized flannel shirt, skinny jeans, jewfro, and chuck taylors. He only made weird female sex noises and rolled around on the floor of the bar, while his band mates made wanna-be Neon Indian style music.
The lead singer ended up passing out on the fooseball table during their last song as he had wandered out there to take shots and yell into the mic, laid down on the table and dosed off

Same guy that did The Bingo Show in Nola, now plays with Preservation Hall Jazz Band
Liquidrone was actually the first band I saw when I started college at LSU. They were playing the Amphitheater on campus. The Expanded Trio opened for them (John Smart's band well before Righteous Buddha).

They were an opening act during the Family Values Tour (Korn, Limp Bizkit, Ice Cube... ahhh, youth) when Du Hast was getting play, and their set messed with my head. All in bondage stuff, lots of homoerotic actions and a prosthetic cock that was shooting out into the crowd. It is still one of those very vivid WTF moments for me.
