What do you prefer? A great solo or a great bridge?

I love solos but in my opinion you can beat an epic bridge leading into the final chorus.

Bridge. I get bored with most solos if they're over a minute.

Bridge, I'm a sucker for a great bridge

A great bridge or break can really make a song stand out - but the greatest songs are usually punctuated by great solos.

Solos. You don't hear a killer guitar solo today like you hear with classic rock

Bridge usually makes the song. Ties it all together if you will.

give me a solid bridge or a great middle 8 anyday.

Not true. In fact, the guitarists today tend to have even better training and technique. It's just that solos have gone out of favor with fans.

If it's LIVE, give me a solo. Great solos on stage give me chills.
However, I'll take a great bridge on a studio album.

Love the bridge, especially a great guitar lick like "Run to You" by Brian Adams.

Bridge. A lot of times a solo is some rearrangement of the main melody (or an exact copy; the solo for smells like teen spirit is lazy), but a great bridge can be a sound within the sound, the part that you're really waiting for.
