New Kids on the Block residency at the MGM, which is like 5K capacity. Looks like 3 different 2 week stints in 2025.

I will not be attending in case you were wondering

The Cure- Good shout
But seriously it is great choice. They are supposedly putting out even more new music this Summer

The Who did a very successful residency in Las Vegas not long ago. They could do it. The Killers also did a multi show thing last fall. Since they live there I think they could do it.

The Cure.
This is a fantastic pick.
I would say Depeche Mode, but a couple of weeks in Vegas would probably kill Dave Gahan.

The Cure could pull it off, but I think Robert Smith would have zero interest in the idea. Kinda the same thing with Radiohead - although maybe you could sell it to them as the Sphere being a green venue or something.
I kinda think Gorillaz would work - they would have cool visuals and could get a bunch of celebrity guests.

There are lots of artists, like Gorillaz, whose music and live performance would work at the Sphere for one show. Or maybe a couple.
Selling out 20k 3 nights a week for several months is another animal.
It's even completely different than selling out arenas across the country, because you are traveling to your audience. For the Sphere, the audience travels to you - which is a burden itself, on top the very expensive tickets.

Eminem might be able to do it because so many people have been waiting for him to go on tour. I think people would definitely travel to see him if he did some type of residency.
Definitely some of the older bands - Rolling Stones, Billy Joel, etc. it’s just something about the older generational music that the newer music just can’t touch.
My 17 year old daughter has even said the same thing. She was excited because she was going to see the Stones and Aerosmith both last year before Aerosmith was cancelled. She’s been to over 15 concerts and she will tell you the Stones has been the best concert she’s ever been too.

He did a Vegas "residency" for two or three years but I don't remember how many shows he did each year.
I don't doubt he could draw the crowds, but his shows don't align with the Sphere immersion video component.
Honestly I'm not sure what Chesney will do in that aspect either.

Oooh, that’s a good one. A Daft Punk reunion at the Sphere would print money. And you know they would have great visuals.

quote:thats a good one unfortunately they are not a band any longer. if we are talking a single 3-4 night stand goose could fill the sphere as could widespread panic. shite billy strings could easily fill it for a single weekend run.
The Police
others that could easily do it are bruce springsteen, dave matthews, taylor swift, metallica, etc.

Only a few bands today could pull a long term gig there as this thread shows. Dead & Co were ideal in the Sphere and the shows were magnificent with all their catalog, history and iconography. They also have a huge fan base a few hours away in Cali which helps a lot.

A reunion show could do it.
