Dislikes:

The reverse headstock of a Seagull.

The lack of projection from an UN-amplified 00-28.

The neck on a Martin... the air of superiority from their owners ... and the assumption that they automatically sound better than their competitor's top of line.

Likes:

both mahogany and rosewood

that extra special warmth of a finger picked cedar top

This is me. I’ll always dream, but this is reality.
And it’s OK

I like several Seagull models and may would even own one but I detest the headstock design, that may sound crazy but its just truth.

I could not choose matte or gloss so I went with... both!! I think you buy based on what it feels/sounds like to play and then you appreciate it based on what it looks like just sitting there as "untapped sound waiting to reach it's ultimate potential"

Matte dreadnought and a gloss cutaway Taylor set.

I’m not a fan of ridiculously exotic tops. Curly maple for example that you find on PRS guitars don’t do it for me. You can toss burl tops in there as well. Gibson Les Pauls seem to have the right balance with the flame maple tops. Anything more than though and the guitar begins to take on the look of a piece of furniture IMO. It’s a guitar, it’s meant to be played, not sat over in the corner because you’re too afraid of playing it and scratching the ridiculous top on it.

I'm a documented fan of Jackson guitars. Unpainted Jackson necks are IMO made for rock/shred.

I dislike cutaways in acoustics, with the exception of the Taylor x14 body shapes.

Dislike glossy necks and fingerboards on electric and bass guitars.

Prefer ebony or rosewood fingerboards, dislike maple altogether.

I hate piezo pickups in acoustics. Also don't like the sound of Taylor's expression pickups though I played one for over 15 years.

Absolutely love Guild acoustic guitars. New, old, made in America, made overseas, owned by whoever. Just love them and prefer them over Taylor, Martin, Gibson, etc.

Ha, its a mid-level Martin, nothing special.

Which model? I've had several mid level Martins at different times.

Its a 1999 Martin DCME. I bought a coupe of years ago for $500 from my buddy I play with since he doesn't play acoustic anymore.

I’ve posted pics of my pop’s 68 guild acoustic/electric that I have in my possession. Recently had the plastic veneer on the headstock repaired and replaced with ebony and a mop inlay. Turned out great. Next step is getting fretwork done.

I hate guitars without at least one cutaway because it’s way too difficult to play bar chords up the fret board.

I hate how gibson g strings constantly fall out of tune.

I hate how fenders tend to have far lower volumes than gibsons.

Classical guitars don’t sound as good as regular acoustic guitars unless you’re playing classical music.

Gibson Les Paul’s are way too expensive to justify such inconsistent quality.

I prefer a glossy woodgrain to satin and matte.

My cheap knockoff LP that I customized > literally every other guitar that exists. I may have some bias

every time I play my D55, the audio engineer/tech/mixer/whoever says it is the best sounding acoustic guitar they've ever heard. And, I ain't that good.

They are phenomenal.

Most folks, would have taken the time to knock some dust off of the guitars, before taking the photo, but..since the tissue box looks empty, on the stool over by the laptop, you've probably been kind of busy.

Dust? Those are battle scars! And I had to pull the martin out of the closet and out of the case so Its pretty clean. And that is a tablet and box back there I just pulled out of the closet too. There's a Jazz Master in there somewhere too.But I did get inspired to play that Martin again.

sure man..

Honestly, I figured the whole picture was a genius troll, especially based on your TD handle.
That really looks like an empty tissue box on the stool.
You can run a dust cloth under the strings, near the bridge now and then, you lazy hippy
Good deal on playing some of the closet guitars, it needs to be done now and then, and sometimes, you remember just how good they really sound.
