I think people judge All My Love based more on the core of the song; the lyrics, the sentiment, the melody and how the melody interacts with the backing music, etc. If it's messy, that pretty much hallmarks it as Led Zeppelin. They've never been too concerned with tidiness, especially Jimmy Page.
As for synth sounds, there are numerous songs from that era that are downgraded in that way. I think "Tuesday's Gone" is a masterpiece, but also has absolutely atrocious synth patch sounds. I try not to let that kill it for me though.

Tuesday's Gone's synth is used more sparingly, though. It's basically a counter melody. In All of My Love, it's the main body of the music and takes the melody and harmonies at times.
