Captain Beyond---self titled first album. You will be amazed if you have not heard it.

Disclaimer- all of the below are mainstream
The eagles first couple albums, like desperado where they went all cowboy- kinda interesting since there really was a Doolin dalton gang and they got shot up bad. Bernie Leadon on guitar made a difference
badfinger- and their tragic story
Alice Cooper-
Marshal tucker band- fire on the mountain from searchin for a rainbow
very early Scorpions- like "im going mad" out of lonesome crow
Year of the Cat- al stewart
Blow by Blow- Jeff Beck
The 70s were so awesome for music

I guess it depends on what you were listening to in the 70's- were you alive then?
Some of the albums that may have not been mentioned-none that are real obscure but are excellent 70's reference music. Listen to these albums, read the liner notes and it will take you to a world of music. Have fun...
War: The World is a Ghetto and Deliver the Word
Doobie Brothers-Toulouse Street
Harry Nilsson-Nilsson Schmilsson
Paul and Linda McCartney-Ram
Alice Cooper-Billion Dollar Babies
Rick Wakeman-Journey to the Center of the Earth
Mike Oldfield-Tubular Bells
Sex Pistols-Never Mind the Bollocks
Bread-Baby I'm-a Want You
Three Dog Night-Harmony
Stevie Wonder-Innervisions
Quiet Sun-Mainstream

I was alive in the 70s, but just a little kid.
I like almost everything. I love disco, punk, most 70s metal, pop, post punk, funk, jazz. Hell I even like a good bit of 70s country.
Will take a look at your list.
