Mickey Thomas sang one of my favorite songs from that era--Elvin Bishop's "Fooled Around and Fell in Love".
that is admittedly his least irritating moment on record

But when Marty Balin left the Starship Jeffersonless, Kantner & co held a conference: "OK we've made the music as bombastic as possible. What can we add to make it even more painful to listen to? I know -- SCREECHING!"

And Mickey Thomas was hired

My vote for worst song is Grand Funk's version of Locomotion.

I like GFR, but I hate their version.

As a kid growing up in rural North LA(Crowville) and having a traumatic event shortly after its release, "We built this city" is an ode to the innocence of my childhood and better times before disaster struck. It will never be annoying to me only a fond memory of a time I cherish and long for again. A bliss that flows through my body whenever I hear it.

think a lot of the hate for "We Built This City" comes from just how far Jefferson Airplane/Jefferson Starship/Starship strayed from their psychedelic roots in a bid to remain rock stars. Y

By the time Starship came about only one member from Jefferson Airplane remained in the band ... according to the video

I just want to chime in to say this: all of Yoko Ono's music is better than all of Kendrick Lamar's music.

The worst/most annoying song of all time is and always will be "Red Red Wine" by UB40. That Jamaican shite makes me want to go postal.

Made because they were forced to do an album and needed some filler:

Anyone that thinks We Built This City is the worst song of all time has lived a blessed life of limited music. While not a great song with many flaws, it is far from the worst.

Warrant - Cheery Pie
Tony Basil - Hey Mickey

Cant stand the songs, dont know why they still come on the radio either.

Also, Mickey Thomas was the Goat in the song Jane.
That song is passionate and has a lot of depth. Really a great song. One of the best has to be a top10 song for the time.

Jefferson Airplane
Then Jefferson Starship
After Starship Came out

In my opinion, this song is truly bad. Thought it was awful when it first came out and seeing him perform it live was just cringe worthy.

I’ve always liked the song but like it a lot less after watching that.
Just awful.

I'm Henery the 8th I am. Henery the 8th I am I am.

Wouldn't take a Willy or a Sam.

2nd verse, same as the 1st.

We Built This City is a dreadfully bad song. Everything about it is hokey and dated. Sara from the same album, I believe, is a much better song.
