Anybody else find this guys vocals odd? Is he trying to sounds like that?

I saw them open up for Megadeth about 6 years ago. They were terrible & he is terrible. I don't know how they have any popularity. I don't get it.

He's a huge fan of Elvis, Johnny Cash, Chuck Berry, etc. I think he learned English listening to and singing those songs. But yeah, a Danish guy doing his version of rockabilly/metal is definitely a weird combination.

I love it, but completely understand people who don't. Their most recent album was lackluster at best though. Huge step back from Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies
He is Danish though, most of it is his accent. Him talking in english sounds fairly similar. Add that to him doing an Elvish/Cash twang and you get what he does.

I liked it when I first heard its years ago but it has kind of not held up well for me over time.

I’m very hit or miss on them. Saw them live in Montreal at a festival they were way better than anticipated. Newspaper the next day called them “Elvis Metal” haha.
I also listened to a live album where they weren’t bad just monotonous and boring, which tends to be their problem.
