It really depends on the drummer. Some guys just devolve into paradiddling as fast as they can. Other guys have more musical finesse and can actually provide some melody within it. Neil Peart and Gavin Harrison are two that I love to watch solo.
I've been a drummer for 29 of my 44 years, and I agree with this. Many of the old-school greats had significant musicality to their drum solos; e.g. Tony Williams, Buddy Rich, Joe Morello, Philly Joe Jones; etc. Their solos just...I dunno...felt like integral parts of the song, as opposed to so many of the modern solos which are, as the OP says, "...noise..."

The jazz tradition persisted with guys like Bonham and Peart - and even to somewhat younger guys like Carey (fantastic use of bronze - one of the best ever) and Portnoy (to a degree - he was self-taught and emulated the "classic rock" drummers of the 70s). There is a difference between a musician who plays drums and a drummer - you can hear that with guys like Henley (who is not a particularly good technical drummer, he is not powerful, but one cannot describe his drumming as hackish, either - it fits the music), Levon Helm, even put upon (at times) Phil Collins - who may rightly be considered a drummer first, then a musician, but his drumming was distinctive and fit the music he was playing.
But, a lot of the higher end metal drummers are all about getting a certain number of strokes per minute, more or less following the trend of their guitarists who equate quantity with quality.
Solos can be like that, but a guy who keeps a very steady beat, can play all the rhythms and add nice, creative, unique fills to a band's music is worth far, far more than a guy with fast hands/feet, who overplays, gets ahead/behind a lot and basically just shows off on the kit. That former type of drummer is going to serve a band better than the latter guy who is, frankly, a liability from a musical standpoint, however entertaining he might be to a live audience.

Slide guitar is just lazy guitar- no intonation , just sliding up and down the neck. While it does sound cool, don't play slide for 75% of the song- You are just lazy!

It certainly can be - but when done right, it can really add soul and fire to a song that would lack it without the slide. I would agree insofar as it is a double edged sword.
Of course, power chords are lazy as shite compared to slide - you at least have to have some skills to make slide listenable. I can (can? hell have) teach a chimp to play power chords.

McCartney was an artist in every way. avant garde pioneer.
It just isn't talked about much.
Lennon's mind was just not impressive to me.
Plus he wrote the one song that triggers me to hell and back- Imagine. If I could rid the world onf one song, that is it. I love watching the wheels, #9 dream, mind games, jealous guy, starting over. but Imagine can GTFO

McCartney recruited his friend George Harrison into the group. Lennon attempted to recruit Yoko Ono into the group.

Do you consider Lennon to be a superior musician over Paul?

Lazy playing is lazy playing whether you're using a slide or not. Slide playing can offer opportunities for creativity such as sliding into or out of notes or phrases. It gives the player some tools not in his toolbox otherwise. What he makes of those tools and how he uses them is what separates a creative player from a dull one.

Nah. I like him better as a songwriter and lyricist but not by a lot. I just heartily disagree with saying either is MILES AND MILES ahead of the other.
