It was nice to see them live. It was a pretty good show, but it felt like they were just going through the motions.

Some bands seem to bring something extra to live shows and some leave their stuff at home.

Anybody have a similar experience?

They were solid. I don't listen to them as much as I do Weezer, but they seemed to be on the money musically. Weezer seemed to just be a bit sloppy.

It just made me wonder if Weezer is not that great playing live or if they just had a bad night.

The cherry on top was during a high energy moment after a song he tried to give a shout out to the crowd. Apparently he didn't realize he was in Arkansas and called us Arizona.

I haven't seen them in almost 20 years, but I'm seeing them very soon on this tour. I'm not even looking at the set list, as I don't want to be spoiled. So I'll just ask you this one question: is it a bunch of deep cuts that even I won't know, or do they hit all/most the gems?

And how were Sleigh Bells?

It's mostly their hits and a few covers you will know.

Yep, the part that bothered me the most though was the shortcuts they took with their own music.

Example- In Undone the Sweater Song, the best part of that song is when the end of the guitar solo is ringing out after the melody has already kicked back in. Both are going in unison and it sounds great.

Last night they simply end the solo, then the melody comes back. This is just lazy when you are doing stuff like that in a song you've been playing for 20 years.

Most bands add a little new flavor to their old hits to keep them fresh. Weezer seemed to take the best flavor out of theirs if it requires any difficulty. After seeing them it just makes me think their magic is in the studio with the benefit of multiple takes.

Saw them a couple weeks ago and they weren't bad. Lots of hits, seemed into it. Wasnt the highest energy show I've seen recently, but not bad. Was likely a bad night. The Rivers doesn't seem like a hype man, so wouldn't expect the highest energy you've ever seen. They did know where they were playing though, Haha.

They were solid at the Dallas show. Great rowdy crowd probably helped.

They were about what I expected. They sounded good so I was happy enough with that. They dont really do much at all on stage though thats for sure.

One of the times I saw them they read off tweets that were being tweeted about them during the concert. That was pretty funny. One dude basically tweeted "I want to leave because theyre talking about gays but then say it aint so came on."

Im not a panic at the dico guy but they opened for them and completely blew them out of the water. The crowd was into them 10x more than they were weezer.

they put on a great show at champions square.

Rivers rode a scooter from the stage to the middle of the floor and sang songs from Greenday, Oasis and Toto. twas legit.

Rivers is the most unintimidating front man that you will ever see. He's never going to be the kind of guy that's going to totally try and pump the crowd up, the whole show. I really enjoyed this tour, as the sets vary quite a bit...the beginning of the show is pretty dang cool too

Saw them in 2002, with Sparta, and they had already started phoning it in.

I'm seeing them tomorrow night - can you confirm that the Pixies set is really as long as it looks like it's been at some recent shows? What time did Weezer take the stage?
