Bang Bang would be a good song with entirely different lyrics. The simple piano is much better than the overproduced stuff that’s been the norm on their last few albums. It’s like something off the Gleam or Mignonette... but those lyrics. Ugh...

Loving this album and looking forward to watching the film. One thing I'll say to the people that mentioned him being hard to understand ... Have you listened to SS before? I don't know a single person who has listened to him that hasn't commented on this in reference to ALL of his music, recorded ...

There are a few interesting articles/interviews about her and Big Thief. I hadn’t seen that one, thanks for the link. I’m a fan, and I liked her solo album as well....

I agree. Sam Cooke rips it up on this album in a totally different way than most people have heard of him. The original version of this album is also much better than the one available now if you can track it down. They really changed the mix and made it sound less live and bumping....
