"Let Go" was too adult for the 00s.
And pitchfork in their infinite wisdom gave it a 3.8

I don’t check with Pitchfork much anymore. The last five or so reviews that I read couldn’t talk about the album without getting political.

Pitchfork has been absolute trash for at least 10 years. TheNeedleDrop is trying to take over the crown for awful, pretentious reviews, though.

Agree. They’re doing for music websites what SPIN magazine did for music print media.

Any band who had regular rotation on mtv and vh1 in the 1980s and 1990s had their shot.
If they're underrated, it's because they werebt the full package.
And with that, there are a lot of overrated band, who had good looks. Same with anything else in this world.

Pitchfork
Has never been about music; it's always been about looking cool and edgy.
If I played the recorder with my butt hole while reciting Burroughs' "Naked Lunch", it would be a ten out of ten on Pitchfork.

Been listening to Hell Below/Stars Above this week. That album absolutely holds up. Too bad it took em forever to release it.

Good call on Lord Huron. I would add Manchester Orchestra as well.
Saw Manchester Orchestra open for Brand New back in the day. They were fantastic live.
I would add Brand New to the list
