Tragically Hip

I’m not Canadian, I know they were huge up there but never caught on here other than places like Buffalo and Detroit.

Interesting hearing their new song the other day... a group of friends are meeting up in Nashville to see them in a couple of weeks... I'll go to the Chicago show, too..

Raleigh Days

Damn, that’s surprisingly good. Vocals are much more melodic than previous AOL stuff. Maybe they’ll expand that tour.

Good call on Lord Huron. I would add Manchester Orchestra as well.

You are correct, sir. Collective Soul has a lot of good songs on their albums.

I agree that Monster Magnet is underrated. (As is Collective Soul.)

Along with Neil Finn and Crowded House, add Split Enz.

Midnight Oil is also extremely underrated now that we've touched on Australia.

Bad Brains followed by Fishbone. But Bad Brains was such a force in the 80s punk scene.

“Let Go” is almost a perfect album

So much this. That album should have made them huge. Lucky is almost as good. If those albums were to come out in the last 5 years, Nada Surf would be a household name, but you can't release an album like "Let Go" when emo and guyliner is ruling the waves. "Let Go" was too adult for the 00s.

I'm seeing them in Dallas. Saw them probably 10 years ago and it was one of the best shows I've been to.
