Long After Dark-TP & The Heartbreakers

Doesn't get the fan fair Damn the Torpedoes, Full Moon Fever, Into The Great Wide Open, Hard Promises or even his last album-Hypnotic Eye have received, but it's solid through and through.

Damn this was literally my pick, surprised to see it listed honestly. I love every record you named, but LAD is his best one to my ears.

Meddle is better than the Wall IMO

I’d go

1a DSOTM
1b WYWH
2 Animals
3 Meddle
4 The Wall

When ranking their big 5. Personal preference. All of those outside of The Wall are 41-46 min, then you have the Wall with a run time of 1hr 20 min.

The Crowes had a string of hits, then this record went over like a lead balloon. I've never understood why. Great stuff.

Yea, I loved TP & THB, still do.

I just completed my library of him by picking up MOJO. Also not a bad album.

I don't think Meddle is that underrated.

I'll say Led Zeppelin - Presence. Most people tend to overlook this one but it has some great tracks: Tea for One, Royal Orleans, Nobody's Fault but Mine.

The Police... Ghost in the Machine

Every Little Thing was a huge hit of course, but the 2nd side takes an unexpected trancy turn with some deep lyrics. Perfect for a rainy, gloomy day.

I didn't realize that was considered underrated but if it is, then I agree 100%. I actually think it's my favorite Police album.

Silverchair - Neon Ballroom

This is the album where their popularity started to wane, but it's so much more complete and compelling than Frog Stomp and Freak Show. It's fittingly an album where they kind of came of age, being as they were all leaving their teenage years.

John Mellencamp - Whenever We Wanted

I think it's his best album, barely edging out Scarecrow.
