Creeker is amazing.

It’s growing on me as well. Listened this morning drinking coffee watching the sunrise.

The sequencing on the album is great. I love how the songs run together and you cant tell if its the end of one song or the beginning of the next.

This board introduced me to Childers right when Purgatory releases and it’s one of my favorite albums of all time. I remember back then he didn’t even have a website, just a personal Facebook.

Anyways I listened to the new album yesterday and was bored. Hoping it grows on me with future listens, but a little slow for me. My favorite song is “Matthew”

Love the album. The production is great. There is this unique, chill country vibe, and it is so cohesively assembled. The individual songs may not be as great as some of Purgatory, but the album as a whole is better I’d say.

Can’t wait for Red Rocks.

Album is worlds better on the second listen and the further listens after that

Creeker is the best one that hasn’t been released as a single previously. Like Country Squire, Gemini, ever loving hand and Bus Route as well a lot.

Came across a video of him playing Country Squire back in 2017 so he’s just stockpiling all these songs so he doesn’t have to write a song for another decade really want a studio version of Deadman’s curve and Charleston girl

I havent been able to give the new album the attention I'm sure it deserves, quite yet.

I've been having those red rocks tickets for months. I believe it is the last ticket on the purgatory tour, before the start of the country squire tour. I wonder how that plays out at the show.

ETA: I may have 2 GA tickets for sale, if anyone wants them

I'm a huge fan of this type of music. I just can't get into his voice for some reason. I don't know what it is.

He's awesome. This album is pretty weak though. I listened a few times. I'm not feeling it. I'm now blasting purgatory, even my 1.5 year old thinks it's superior. Guess I'll give squire another try later, but that's 30 minutes of meh.

Peace of Mind reminds me of John Prine lyrically. Fantastic song.

I’ve enjoyed the hell out of this album. With the exception of one song, Bus Route.

Bus route is one of the best of the album.

Matthew is the weakest song imo

Don’t get the hate. This is a very cohesive and strong album. Like a solid 8.5/10 if I had to give it a score

Creeker is fantastic and my favorite song on the album. All Your’n I could see getting some decent radio play if it catches on a bit. Peace of Mind and House Fire other standouts for me.

Listened to it a few times. Will need a few more to fully sink in, but I like it. Not as good a Purgatory overall, imo, but that's gonna be hard to top.

How can anyone not like his voice?

The title track is my favorite. Of course people are gonna like Purgatory better since they are more familiar with it.

Possibly, but I do think Purgatory has some deeper songs on it, in terms of lyrics - Born Again, Purgatory, Universal Sound as examples. I'm not sure I hear anything quite like that on Country Squire.

He has been on repeat on my playlist for MONTHS. This album was good. It’s still not as good as “Red Barn Radio” album. IMHO. I am digging “Creeker” and “Matthew”. I can’t wait to see what else he puts out there.
