RC & The Ambers are playing at Cain’s Saturday night, speculation is that the rest of Turnpike make a surprise appearance.
Kyle Nix and his band are playing with them as well on a double bill. It's gonna e a special show for sure. I guess the biggest question will be if Evan shows up.

Grady Smith talked about that in his video today! I’m so hyped up!

So they're getting the whole OG gang back together?

It's officially official
quote:
Absent from the stage and on a self-declared “indefinite hiatus” since May 2019, Turnpike Troubadours — a band known as much for its volatility as for its literary songs and stomping melodies — have hit the most-anticipated reset button in Americana music. The group will headline the venerable Red Rocks Amphitheatre outside of Denver on May 14.

The concert is part of a full-fledged return. Expect more shows — including possible appearances ahead of the Red Rocks date (tickets go on sale Friday, Dec. 3.) — and album news as the Oklahoma six-piece knocks off the dust

Doesn’t feel real. Honestly starting to think this would never happen.
Hell. Yes.
Hell. Yes.

Would’ve happened sooner but for Covid. I’m actually happy they had the extra time.

I was fortunate to see Turnkpike at their last Red Rocks show with Charley Crockett. I will 100% going see them on 5/14.
I think I forgot just how much I love Turnpike. Seeing the news of this show gave me goosebumps.

Been listening to turnpike all day. Just great news all around. Not going to red Rocks, but I'll be seeing them somewhere in 2022.

I think the timing is just about perfect. Especially for Evan. He needed that time to not only get sober but to change his lifestyle and learn how to handle everything that booze numbed.

Oof. One of the very few shows I’ve walked out of.

There is nothing like it. Evan put it best in the Rolling Stone article today, it’s “magic”.

People in Oklahoma who booked and gigged with them will tell you they have (had?) a reputation for being sloppy and real hit or miss to deal with. I can easily see them bombing a show and the audience walking out.
Mike McClure and Cody Canada on the other hand are professional as can be, and I don’t even like red dirt music. Good dudes

Presale sold out within minutes if not seconds and were immediately up on secondary pages at 5x list price.
I was only able to get one ticket and will end up buying a secondary ticket for the wifey.

Pieces of shite.

Hopefully tomorrow will be better. If not, keep an eye on cash or trade to avoid scalpers.

I kept refreshing for about 10 minutes after it showed no tickets left. I eventually got through successfully. I found that the axs website worked better than the app.
