They did it again fellas.

The whole album is great but On The Red River and Heaven Passing Through are both up there as an all timer for them.

quote:

And there are pickups lined up down the driveway
Have I really been gone for two years?
I'd be on my third on a good day
I'd find my last bottle of beer
I guess Saturday started without you
I knew before I got the call
The red July bucks were in velvet
I'll tell you about 'em this fall

They need to can shooter

Lets super compress all the instruments and have hair band style big toms and snare and put the bass slider to 0. I feel like Dave Cobb single-handedly killed the genre because everyone is copying him now. Also if you’re not gonna have instrumental breaks just call it the Evan felker band

‘On the Red River’ is worth the price of admission.

I’m going to have to sit down and read the lyrics to get a better understanding of the song meanings.

Alright, after a full run through, these are my top.

Nothing You Can Do (my type of upbeat old school TT track)

I'm on my second listen now. It's so good. Not sure if it was on purpose or not, but Forgiving You has a Charlie Robison Loving County vibe.

I agree. I’m on my first listen through and Devil Plies His Trade has a nice instrumental section.

I thought of Gordon Lightfoot’s “Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald”

If there’s anything I could add to this album it would be a case of beer into the recording studio

Someone hand this man a beer so we can get good music again

I happy for the guy and I'm glad I have my favorite band back, but man they were soooooooo good when he started riding the white horse

I do like it. Obviously it isn't the old stuff, but I'm enjoying it.

Nothing You Can Do sounds like vintage TT imo.

The sobriety fad has been the most destructive thing to western culture since the black plague

Do you think the Romans thought about sobriety while they were conquering the known world?

ETA: also there are no riffs or melodies

It’s just 4 chords with noodling accompaniment and singing the whole way through

I feel like the producer in the sopranos. You got no choruses!

We're all becoming sober pussies!

Where's the face melting fiddle solo? They said a while back the Bossier City album would never be remade because it doesn't have a fiddle, and really isn't "their" sound.

Might as well re-cut it and release it now.

Forgiving You is quickly becoming one of my favorite tracks. The missing line is really fricking with me.

I’ve seen in a few other places people theorizing it’s a murder ballad. Seems to fit. Either way it’s a fricking banger.

Been listening to it all weekend. It keeps getting better and better.

I think it’s their most complete album. It’s a masterpiece.
