As embarrassing as it will now seem, Human Clay by Creed was the first CD I ever bought
To my credit I think Dark Side of the Moon was the 2nd though

I believe it was John Cougar - American Fool. If not, then it was Def Leppard - Pyromania. These would be the first album (or albums) I spent my own money on.
The first album (and, yes, it was an 8-track) I owned was The Eagles Greatest Hits. The first 45 I owned was Kansas - Carry On Wayward Son

You know I was trying my best to figure this out and seeing that triggered the memory. Space Jam was my first as well. I wore that tape out.

When I was little (4-7 years old) - I used to LOVE filling out forms. My parents would give me credit card applications to play with when I got antsy while waiting for customer service at Sears, etc...
WELL... That translated into forms from magazines. It got to the point where they had to tell the mailman to ignore any forms from magazines that ended up in the outgoing mail. This was after I had successfully ordered a dozen 8 tracks TWICE. Including:
J Geils Band - Love Stinks
Fleetwood Mac - Rumours
Olivia Newton John - Physical
Kenny Rogers - The Gambler
Pat Benatar - Crimes of Passion
Now the first ones I actually bought with my own money:
Cassette: Depeche Mode - Music for the Masses
CD: Concrete Blonde - Free
