Warrant - Bitter Pill

This is an underrated one. Warrant would have so much more respect if it weren’t for Cherry Pie (great song, but nowhere near what they could’ve been).

I’m always staggered by the pipes on that Steelheart dude.

It's a shame Warrant is always associated with their shittiest song. One of my favorite bands from the hair metal days.

Bruh I wore out that Monster Ballads CD when it came out. Hair bands get a lot of crap but damn they put out some epic ballads.

I’d go with the Scorpions. Must have at least 25+ killer ballads over the years.

Including one written by the CIA.

At first I was like, WTF? Obviously the song would be Wind of Change considering what it's about. I did a quick search and you must be talking about the podcast that is going to cover this subject.

Warrant - Uncle Tom’s Cabin

Not at all a ballad. But this further exemplifies how different Warrant was compared to Cherry Pie. Favorite Warrant song.

I Remember You

Hell yes, and among the best wtf moments of my life:

Sebastian had just gotten to Nashville. He, a huge stoner, instantly identified me as a guy that could score him weed.

Highlights: He's like 6'8 and walks though the Fat Mo's drive through while we're waiting.

Next, we're sitting on a couch at my friend's place passing a joint, watching TV and SMFB mow down a hamburger.

Recently ran back into him in Houston (when gigs still happened). He flew me the GOAT.

I'm cool if this is how it all ends.

Skid Row - I Remember You

Winner

Feel like it gets overlooked by non-guitar and 80s metal folks in favor of GNR, Scorpions and Def Leppard

Has it all - excellent acoustic parts, amazing soft/clean vocals leading up to high crescendos, ripping guitar solo and overall great structure.

No, but it is a crazy theory that has recently gotten some traction.

That’s a ballad. There’s no power in it.
